A Semi Detailed Lesson Plan for Kinder 2

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the pupils is expected to:

1. recognize and name the basic shapes;

2. identify the basic shapes through a game; and

3. appreciate the importance of basic shapes in our daily lives.

Il. SUBJECT MATTER

A. Topic: Exploring the World of Basic Shapes

B. Reference: Del Prado, N A. , Valera LP.

C. Materials: Instructional materials and customized Shapes ( Ball, Comparing box), Video
presentation, and PowerPoint presentation

D. Values: Obedience, coperation, appreciation

lll. PROCEDURE

A. Preparation

The teacher will begin the class by greeting the student, leading the prayer, and then
checking attendance.

B. Motivation

The teacher will play a music video about basic shapes and the class will sing and dance and
raise the the shapes while singing.

"Square and circle (2x)

Triangle, triangle

Rectangle is my shape,

Basic shapes (2x)"


C. Lesson Proper/ Presentation

1. Activity

 The pupils will be divided into 4 groups


 Each group will identify the shapes given to them.
2. Analysis
 How did you find the activity?
 How did you come up with your answer in identifying shapes?

3. Abstraction

 The teacher will start to flash the lesson using PPT for showing the student the object
that have a shape of circle, triangle, square and rectangle.
 The teacher will discuss the basic shapes (circle, triangle, square and rectangle).
 The teacher will compare the differences of each shape and present importance of
basic shapes in daily lives.
 The student will have a familiarization with side of each shapes and connect it with
things sorround them.
4. Application
 The teacher will give hands on learning shapes activities.
 The pupil will picked one shape out of four big customize shapes.
 The pupil will label and describe the shape that they picked.

IV. EVALUATION

 The teacher will ask the children what they have learned and gain in the lesson.
 The teacher will ask the pupil how they appreciate the importance of basic shapes in
their daily lives.

V. ASSIGNMENT

 In a short bond paper, the pupils will draw the four basic shapes.
