The researcher corrected a manuscript using the manuscript correction signs. The researcher then
typed the manuscript using Times new Roman size12 in Microsoft word.

Merchants seem to prefer the acceptance of debit cards over credit cards because of two main
reasons – There is a lower cost to the merchants for accepting debit cards and there is no need to
variety the identify of the person using debit card as a personal identification {PIN} number is
used. A PIN number is a secret numeric password shared between a user and a system that can
be used to authorize the user and a system. More recently banks have started issuing proximity
cards to their customers. Retail establishments no longer accept cheques because of high
incidence of cheques found. so the next time look into a retail establishment such as a fast food
restaurant supermarket or even a pharmacy ensure that you have your plastic ready.

The researcher examined the topic ‘The important of covid 19 on society’ Then typed the
information gathered using the word processing program “Microsoft Word” The researcher then
presented the findings electronically using the skills develop.

Definition of Covid (19)

Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that can cause respiratory illness in humans. They get their
name, “corona,” from the many crown-like spikes on the surface of the virus. Severe acute
respiratory syndrome (SARS), Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and the common cold
are examples of coronaviruses that cause illness in humans.

Cause of covid (19)

The recent outbreak began in Wuhan, a city in the Hubei province of China. Coronaviruses are a
group of viruses that can cause disease in both animals and humans. The severe acute respiratory
syndrome (SARS) virus strain known as SARS-CoV is an example of a coronavirus. SARS spread
rapidly in 2002–2003.

Symptoms of Covid (19)

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to
moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.

Most common symptoms:

 fever
 cough
 tiredness
 loss of taste or smell.

Less common symptoms:

 sore throat
 headache
 aches and pains
 diarrhoea
 a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes
 red or irritated eyes.

Serious symptoms:

 difficulty breathing or shortness of breath


 loss of speech or mobility, or confusion
 chest pain.

Effects of covid (19)

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has affected day to day life and is slowing down the global economy.
This pandemic has affected thousands of peoples, who are either sick or are being killed due to
the spread of this disease.

Ways to prevent covid (19)

Ways To prevent infection and to slow transmission of COVID-19 :

 Get vaccinated when a vaccine is available to you.


 Stay at least 1 metre apart from others, even if they don’t appear to be sick.
 Wear a properly fitted mask when physical distancing is not possible or when in poorly
ventilated settings.
 Choose open, well-ventilated spaces over closed ones. Open a window if indoors.
 Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or clean them with alcohol-based hand
rub.
 Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
 If you feel unwell, stay home and self-isolate until you recover
