Wall cladding
Wall cladding is the process of layering one material on top of another material which will
create a skin layer over the walls. Cladding systems can be fabricated with aluminum as the
main material.
Due to the characteristics of aluminum being durable, strong and light, it is an ideal material
for the construction material.
Aluminum can offer effective protection against fire.
Fore ceiling
Fore ceiling used for making ceiling.
Ceiling means the topmost part of the inside of a room, or the upper limit. Inside the ceiling
different cables that used for making the data center are exist. It does not burn with fire.

Raised floor
8
A raised floor in data center is an elevated floor that is built two inches to four feet above
concrete floor. It creates a space that can be used for cooling, electrical, and mechanical
services. In data center it also used as a way of distributing clod air.
2 Stringer: are also essentials parts of in the raised floor construction as they aid in joining the
pedestals forming a framework for a strong floor panel.
3 Raised floor panel: forms the flat surface of the access floor. It is usually 60 cm by 60 cm in
size and it constructed using steel materials. Concrete materials are used to fill the panel
making it durable and flexible in case some improvements need to be done on the building
services installed in the panel.

Figure 2.6 Server rack
AC rack
An air condition rack is a self-contained unit so the air conditioner only has to cool the area
immediately around the server hardware instead of the entire room. It contains hot and cold
aisle containments.
11
Mounting network devices
Network devices are mounted from bottom to top server, VCN, LAN switch, UIM20a and
two ECC800.
Server is a hardware device that provide services to serve the needs of other components.
VCN stand for video cloud node. It integrates multiple video surveillance services in one
device; such as live video surveillance, video retrieval and playback, pan-tilt-zoom controls,
alarm detection and linkage, voice intercom, and electronic maps.
LAN switch is networking hardware that connects devices on a computer network by using
packet switching to receive and forward data to the destination device. A switch is a multiport
network bridge that uses MAC addresses to forward data at the data link layer of the OSI
model.
ECC800 is core component for the smart module local management. it supports access right
management in terms of the access card, password, and fingerprint, providing high
availability. It also supports sending of alarm notifications by short message, enabling remote
maintenance.

We use 6-GFM-65/12V65ah model in VRLA battery. It is suitable to make a 12V, 24v, 48V
battery bank.
A valve regulated lead-acid battery, commonly known as a sealed lead- acid battery
characterized by a limited amount of electrolyte absorbed in plate separator.
FM 200
FM200 (heptafluoropropane) is a compound of carbon, fluorine and hydrogen
(CF3CHFCF3). It is colorless, odorless and electrically non-conductive.
It rapidly extinguishes most commonly found fire by a combination of chemical and physical
mechanisms without affecting the available oxygen. This allows personnel to see and breathe,
permitting them to leave the fire area safely.
The atmospheric lifetime of FM200 is between 31 and 42 years which along with its zero
ODP (ozone depleting potential) presents a long-term solution to fire protection requirements.

Connecting devices
Assisting the technicians
2.4 challenges faced and measures
While I was working in the datacenter, I face the following problems.
The beam was hard to drill.
It was hard to keep the level of wall cladding and the raised floor because the house
did not keep its level.
The puntas were not work properly because of low temperature. It overheated easily.
Measurements I have taken in order to overcome the challenges were the following.
By adjusting the level with level instrument
By cooling the puntas and by changing them
23
Chapter three
The main purpose of internship is to learn by working in practical environment and to apply
the knowledge acquired during the studies in a real-world scenario in order to take on the
problems using the knowledge and skill learned during the academic process. During my
internship program at Debre tabor university I had gained many advantages from the
internship.
Identifying problems
Finding the solution
Mounting network devices
24
3.2 team playing skill
In a working place, the most important part is the team work. This internship program
thought me a lot about the benefits of team work. I have improved the following best team
playing behaviors:
Listening: - I should demonstrate that I can listen to other people's ideas and points of
view by actively listening what others in the team have to offer and I can often build
on their ideas.
Respecting: - treat all other team-members with equal respect and build up trust.
Helping: - I used to assume as essential to help others in the team. Be alert of what
others are doing and suggest help and support if I can.
Sharing: - am willing to share knowledge, experience, time and talents with others in
the team.
Asking: - I ask questions so I am sure of the objectives of the team.
Persuading: - I have to be prepared to come up with ideas and persuade them, but
eventually agree to change them if correct.

Chapter four
The project is based on computer networking, but prepared with packet tracer. So, it is just a
network design with all the addressing and configuration. It will serve as a design for the
network installation and implementing of some building of DTU network. It has three main
VLAN parts. Those are faculty of technology, faculty of natural and computational science
and one computer lab. The faculty divided into different VLAN by using the name of each
department.
Faculty of technology divided into eight VLAN by using department name it contains.
Faculty of natural and computational science divided into five VLAN by using department it
contains.
In this project I am using VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network). VLAN is a local network
where computers, servers, and other network devices or end devices are logically separate at
layer two regardless of their physical location.
26
4.2 Scope of The Project
The project has a full network design with different network device like servers, router,
