Directions: Refer to the given lecture entitled Principles and Basic Techniques of
Image Manipulation as well as Image Manipulation Tool: PhotoScape to have a
better understanding of the topic. For additional information, kindly visit the
websites provided in the references. Moreover, you may jot down notes as you
read the lecture and you may use a dictionary to check the meaning of unfamiliar
words for you to better understand the lesson.

Directions. Analyze carefully the following statements. Write A if only the first
statement is correct; B if only the second statement is correct; C if both statements
are correct; and D if none of the statements is correct.

1. In manipulating an image, you have to choose the right file format;


Choosing the right image size is unnecessary in image manipulation.
2. It is important to put caption on images whenever it is possible;
You need to consider how much space you want the image to consume.
3. Rendering an image means cutting it out and carrying it to where you
will use it for manipulation;
To make shadow, you first need to duplicate your original stock that you
need the shadow for.

Photo Editing includes all simple editing techniques and have some
manipulation techniques.

There are a few photo manipulation tools available in the internet.

Directions: After learning the principles and basic techniques of image
manipulation as well as the use of PhotoScape, you are now tasked to do your own
image manipulation. You may use a computer/laptop or a mobile phone in this
activity.
1. Select a photo you have personally taken.
2. Do a photo manipulation applying the principles and techniques you have
learned.
3. Once you are done, send it to your teacher via Messenger or email.
NOTE: There must be 2 photos to be sent to your teacher; the before and after
photo.

Directions: It is now time that you create an image of yourself applying what you have

Empowerment. Be creative!

2. Manipulate the photo you have taken considering the principles and applying the
basic techniques you have learned. You may do this using PhotoScape or other
software/application that you prefer.
3. Ensure that your photo emphasizes men/women empowerment.
4. Post the photo on your Facebook wall and put a caption that promotes men/women
empowerment and how you as a man/woman could help in this time of pandemic.
