My Experiences and Learnings
My Experiences and Learnings
I begin my Speech, In the name of Allah the beneficent, the merciful, All praises is due to Allah SWT. Because
of him, we can gather ingood situation and condition. I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of
God, the most excellent worshiper, leader of god fearing, supreme among prophet.
On this occasion I am going to talk about My Experiences and Learnings in this Mahad or Islamic institute.
It is a great honor for me as a student of Mahad Sinunuc Al-Islamy to speak in front of you…
Before I discuss my personal side, I would like to relate some of the history of Madrasas’ or Islamic Institute…
It is been written in the Islamic history 1400 years ago in which the era madrasa’s first establishment. But
don’t get me wrong, of course in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Companions there was no
madrasah as we already knew nowadays it wasn’t a physical structure, Know back then the Companions used
to seek knowledge in the Masjid of the Prophet saw which now known as Al-Masjid an-Nabawi or in English
The Prophet's Mosque. But the essence I would like to express is the preservation of knowledge that is done
by the Companions and students after them. It is really mind boggling that the Quran- the God’s speech- and
The Ahadith- the Prophet’s speech, deeds and commandments- are authentically, word by word, preserved by
those people until in the existing time… I mean realize that the sincerity and integrity of those preservers
cannot be ever paid off by jewelry and any treasures. So then, as student of Islamic studies it is my duty to
manifest the true teachings of Islam, enjoining good and forbidding evil. But the question arises, how I myself
preserve my Religion if I’m lack of knowledge in it? So that’s why I need to seek knowledge before I can do
justice in my Religion, oppose from those groups of people, they don’t have any knowledge of Islam yet they
preached… this ignorance is the main cause of struggles that is currently happening in Muslim’s community.
The main thing that I want to relate is Islam doesn’t teach any evil deeds and immorality, rather enjoining
good and forbidding evil.
As for my personal experiences and learnings in this mahad, I begin my narration in the phase of my life where
I don’t even know any Islamic theology, any Islamic law, and even Arabic language- which is the foundation of
sciences to learn Islam well. But now Alhamdulillah, I can say as the time run fast simultaneously knowledge
do the same. I even remember when I was praying to Allah, O Allah guide in this religion and increase in
knowledge, then in the same day I pick up phone, open facebook there I saw the Mahad Sinunuc al-islamy is
offering a 2-years course of Arabic Language and I just say to myself “this is the answer of my Dua/prayers”.
After a while I told my Parents that I wanted to take a 2 years course that is offered by Mahad, and of course
my Parents are always be ever and ever supportive in my good decision. And when the day of class started, I
expected that I will only learn Arabic Language in this Mahad, but no! There are some extra mile if you like
they offered and those are some main sciences of Islam i.e. Fiqh or Islamic Law of shariah, Theology and etc.
and of course, knowledge can’t attain without hardship you’ll experience. I remember some days of classes we
the students and teachers are almost drenched and wet by rain, and yet these challenges can’t stop us aiming
our goals because we knew it is for ourselves and for this Ummah. Yes! Those are just memories but it will
remain in our hearts until we proceed in the next phases of our lives. Even though I am not yet graduating in
this Mahad I can sense the result of income in knowledge. Alhamdulillah2x it is all about Allah’s will and grace,
I would like take this opportunity to thanks my supportive parents, the Mashayikh or our teachers in mahad,
and other stuff. You just did unforgettable moments in our lives. May Allah bless you, increase your darajat
and station in the hereafter, we love you all. And for our Honoured ladies and gentlemen, Thank you so much
for your support in our Mahad, we really appreciated your deeds.
And thereby, I conclude my speech with the Jose Rizal’s famously quotes “ “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng
bayan,” I firmly believed, If we will search for all youths of this nation, then I know not in their groups implementing the
good services for our country except those who practicing the God’s commandments and those who fear him, and I’m
pretty sure we the tullab or the students of Islamic knowledge are of preferred. Wa akhiru da’wana anil hamdulillahi
rabbil- Alamin.
