FIRST SATURDAY PRAYERS IN HONOR OF OUR

LADY OF LOURDES

Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes

O Mary Immaculate, who deigned to appear in a rustic Grotto in Lourdes to teach us the
wonderful doctrine of your Immaculate Conception. We come today to your sacred
Grotto to greet you, to honor you and thank God for the sublime privilege of your
Immaculate Conception. This day we humbly offer ourselves to you heartily beg you to
bestow upon us the blessings you showered upon St. Bernadette in Lourdes. O
Immaculate Lady of Lourdes, you who come, to this world without the stain of original
sin, obtain for us from your Divine Son, this grace that we may be free from guilt when
we depart from this life. Amen.

Prayer to St. Bernadette

O St. Bernadette, pure and simple child, you who were privilege to behold the beauty of
Mary Immaculate and to be the recipient of her confidence, eighteen times at Lourdes,
you who did desire henceforth to hide yourself in the cloister of Novers and there live
and die as a victim of sinners, obtain for us the spirit of purity, simplicity and
Mortification that may lead us towards the glorious vision of God and Mary in heaven.
Amen.

Invocation to Our Lady of Lourdes

O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, through whom the Divine Redeemer was given to us,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who so miraculously appeared at the Grotto of Lourdes,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who told Bernadette that you wished people to visit the
grotto and go there in procession,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who sent Bernadette to tell the priest that you wished a
chapel to be built upon the rock you had appeared,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who has chosen this lowly Grotto to teach us detachment
from the world,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who clothed in white to remind us to keep our souls free
from all stain of sin,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who didst appear, with a ROSARY hanging on thy arm in
order to encourage us to devotedly say it often,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who has cost the many sinners at Lourdes,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who has cured so many sick at Lourdes,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who has consoled so many afflicted hearts at Lourdes,
Pray to Jesus for us
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, who has chosen the sublime title of the Immaculate
Conception to be honored at Lourdes,
Pray to Jesus for us

(Three Hail Mary's adding after each of them; Our Lady of Lourdes, Pray for us)

Priest: Pray for us O Holy Virgin of Lourdes


People: That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ

Let us pray:

O God who by the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin who didst prepare a worthy
dwelling place for Thy Son, we humbly beseech thee that we, who celebrate the
Apparition of the same Blessed Virgin, may obtain health of souls and body, through
Christ our Lord. Amen.
