2. (35 pts) Consider the below network. The number on each arc represent the capacity of that arc.

a. Formulate a linear programing problem for Maximum flow

b. Use Ford-Fulkerson method to find the Maximum flow from source to sink.
3. (30 pts) A company supplies goods to three customers, who each require 40 thousand units. The company has two
warehouses. Warehouse 1 has 65 thousand units available, and warehouse 2 has 55 thousand units available. The
costs of shipping 1 unit from warehouse to the customer are shown in the table below.
a. Formulate a balanced transportation problem to minimize the total cost.
b. Use Minimum-coast method to find a basic feasible solution and calculate total cost (Z) for that solution.
