Introduction: In this section we will discuss some core attributes of International relation.
Before knowing each aspect of International Relation around the globe first we must know
what is international relation? How it affects in our day-to-day life it could be economic,
social, business, trade, human welfare etc. As far as we know that international relation is
when a countries government meet with others country by the meaning of some core
attributes that is basically meet both the countries basic needs and demand and distribute the
helping hand with each other that is called International relation. International relation always
not be in positive manner sometimes it could be negative. In our everyday life international
relation is linked with every characteristics of pa person.
International relation in everyday life:
International relation does affect our daily life in many ways. Every person in the world is
being connected with global connections. It influences whether you need a passport to travel
abroad or whether you are even welcome in a particular country at all. Example of the letter:
President Trump tried to refuse entry into the US for travelers from a specific group of
“Muslim” countries. This has nothing to do with you, but it affects your life. And sometimes
international relation interferes positively in your daily life. Moreover, we know EU countries
have agreed on free traffic of persons within their borders, so no more border controls once
you are inside. And as an EU citizen, you may now reside and work in any other EU country.
Similarly, the countries of the Arab League have agreed that citizens do not need a visa
anymore when travelling from one Arab country to another. International relation also affects
your daily life when it comes to goods and services how expensive it is to buy imported
goods, and heavily, they are taxed. If your country is under an international relations
punishment, it may be tough to get certain goods you need, such as medication. When you
use your mobile phones and call abroad, you can do this and at what rate is a result of
international negotiations. International relations also interfere in money matters. When you
live in a west African country, you will use the CFA as eight independent states in West
Africa. Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo
have agreed to use the same currency. The same story for EU-citizen now using the euro,
doing away with their trusted national currencies, and now using a single common currency.
In the end, in my opinion, it is safe to state that the role of international relations in our daily
life, though perhaps hidden, is a big one.
Four theories that interlinked with international theories:
Realism in International Relations: Realism is a straightforward method to international
relation, interpret that all nations are working to increase their power, and those countries
mange to shoal power most efficiently will thrive, as they can easily take the achievement of
less dominant nations. The theory further states that a nations foremost interest should be
own-preservation and that continually captivating power should always be a social,
economic, and political obligatory. The nature of realism implies that seeking a moral high
ground is a goal that governments cannot always achieve, and that fraud and violence can be
highly effective tools for advancing national interests. With own-land defense elevated to the
highest priority, remaining morally righteous in the eyes of international organizations can
take a backseat to enforcing foreign policy that will improve the nation global sight. In
modern times, realism is signature in the foreign policies of china and Russia. The
relationship between Russia and Syria is one that has raised eyebrow in Europe and around
the world; despite the bloody civil war in Syria-and the international communities litigate for
intervention. Russia has sustained strategic relations with the government with the
government of Bashar Al-Assad to protect Russian interests in the region. Similarly, china
continues its diplomatic and economic association with North Korea despite the latter’s
abysmal human rights record and aggressive nuclear testing. Chinese trespass into the south
China sea and Russia’s incursions into Ukraine also highlight the two Countries aggressive as
well as violence this is come to light political methods of international affairs.
Liberalism in International Relations: The main definition of liberalism is how to sustain
peace in every living region. liberalism is totally different from realism we can say liberalism
is against realism. Liberalism believes in peace they believe in democracy no dictatorship
will not be granted here. Immanuel Kant proposed in 1975 for perpetual peace. After world
war 1st scholars optimistic to end war that is why they opened league of nation in 1920 for
accumulating all country and give everyone a sense that no more war with each other, now
we are going achieve our goal by the means of peace and if any nation tries to attack someone
else then we all together fight for those country who are trying to break the rule. In individual
theory we have been seen prevalent belief people inherently good, no interest in war, people
suffer in consequence of war, desire dialogue over war, rule of law stable international
institution to achieve peace and security. In 1930 great depression and after few years later
world war happened 1939-1945 and the opposite party who are against liberalism theory,
they keep their figure up against league of nation. Because, before making league of nation
all the leaders were very much optimistic that now no war will not occur again, and every
corner of the world people sustain a healthy peaceful life, but things turn into a toxic site that
is why every leader of opposite party they were protest this theory and at any cost they were
trying to vanish this theory from every living country in the world. But this is not an easy task
to vanish a biggest controversy theory from this planet of earth. Therefore, liberal politicians
generally prefer the use of economic and social power in achieving their national goals (for
instance, obtaining the agreement of a neighboring country to help secure a border). In
today’s globalized society, using economic tactics such as bilateral trade agreements and
international diplomacy can be more effective in advancing political interests than
threatening force. As liberalism has become more rooted in international cooperation through
the establishment of organizations like the United Nations, realism has started to wane as a
viable political strategy. It can be argued that the liberalist tradition, perpetuated by the
United States, has become the dominant system in international relations, with established
values and international institutions in place to regulate this order.
International society in International Relations: Before knowing international society, we
must know about “Society” so, society is the aggregate of people living together in a more or
less ordered community is called a society. Keeping the definition of the society in mind we
will try to understand the concept of international society now. International Society is any
association of distinct political communities that accept common rules, values, institutions,
diplomacy, order, and international law. Now we will move toward the international theory as
a theory of IR. International society was existing for a long time but the international society
as a school of thought in international relations is a recent phenomenon. This school of
thought basically unveil the existing of international society. Now comes to the assumptions
of international society so we all know that IR is a branch of human relations. Based on
values such as independence, security, justice, and order. Accepts anarchy and believe that
world politics is an “Anarchical society.” Now we will know the main attributes of
international relations there are many ways to describe relations among different political
entities. Both realist theory and liberal theories are included in international relation. They
believe conflictual, war, defeats along with cooperation, world government so, international
society is a combination of both realist and liberal theory. International society forms with
two basics principles that is.
 Sovereignty: Sovereignty define each one will justify equally no discrimination will
not exist here.
 Non-Intervention: Non- intervention is a policy that holds that political rulers should
avoid interfering in the affairs of foreign nations relations but still retain diplomacy
and trade, while avoiding wars unless related to direct self-defense.
There are some significant evolutions of international society. Christian and Islamic order
played a significant role on International society.

 Catholic church played an important role in flourishing the concept of international

society before the beginning of nation state system.
 Islamic community also played its vital role in this regard. Muslim signed various
treaties with different regions. They also made various agreements regarding trade.
 Both these religions played role in the evolution of the international society.

International political economy in international relation: International political economy

basically a study of a relationship between world economics and politics as well as world
state and market this all is mutual relation among all of them. International Political economy
examines how politics can be used to achieve economic and how economics is utilized for
political interests. Both economic and political goal cannot be retained if anyone neglect in
between one factors so, if any nations willing to pursue their desire goal then no matter what
they must sustain both economic and political matter otherwise their significant aim will
disrupt. International political economy is very necessary for every state around the world,
but the political economic friendship must be positive. We have seen that India and Pakistan
both neighboring country as well as the most powerful nation in the region of Asia, but the
problem is both this country deny to make trade or any other intervention with each other
they always sharing hatred speech with each other we all know the Kashmir issue from the
ancient time this problem is not yet solve we don’t think so this problem will solve some
days. In recent days we can see that the clash between India and china on their border and
both attacked each other so many times. Here china raises their voices in the border site and
demand for Kashmir they are telling that Kashmir is only their territory if any Indian military
come to make rival then situation will disaster this type of threat are continuously delivering
from chicness army as well as the government of china for this incident both India and china
are making clash among them. And we have seen that after gathered into clash both parties’
major team member died. So, a nation cannot economically and politically good if their
external relation among others country will not good. We are living in globalized world
where this is so much easier to interlinked with other country in the international economy if
one country made a free trade agreement as well as free movement to their territory then both
countries will remain economically and politically stable.
Collective goods problems and core principles in International Relations:
International relations concerns people and cultures throughout the world. The relation can
make among the state as well as the non-state international organization and individuals.
Main trends in International relation today are globalization that means a country is not only
connected with his economic welfare but also showing interest some other perspective like
political welfare, sharing incentive, monetary welfare etc. In recent days almost every
country of the world including us are affected by Covid-19 the death race is becoming higher
and higher day by day and all of us are trying to make vaccine after failing multiple times to
come up with vaccine finally German AstraZeneca is now in our hand and German
government, they deliver this vaccine to mostly affected country in the world we blessed to
their action. Here German made cooperative action they not only think their benefit only but
also tensed about the rest of the world how they survive without eradicate this virus.IR
revolves around one key problem:
How can group two or more countries serve its collective interest when doing so requires its
member to forgo, their individual interest. Example: Global Warming.
Collective goods problem can be vanished in three ways.
 Dominance: Dominance solves the ‘collective good’ problem by establishing a power
hierarchy in which those at the top control those below.
Good Site - Order, Stability, and predictability means that the country who has got the
upmost power can generate his power effectively to help others nation.
Bad Site- Sometimes we have been seen power can misuse to others. Example:
oppression and resentment.
 Reciprocity solves the collective good problem by rewarding behavior that positively
contribute to the group and punishing behavior that pursues self-interest at the
expense of the group.
Good site- Incentives for cooperation.
Bad site -Downward Spirals example: North Korea
 Identity: Identity solves the collective good problem by sacrificing their own interests
to help others.
Good site: Sacrifice for groups.
Bad site: Demonizing an out-group.
Conclusion: In the conclusion part we will discuss about the Role of Culture and perception in
international relation. Imagine you are a Canadian diplomat and sitting across the table from you are
delegates from several Asian Countries. Trying your best to be precise and logical, you jump right
into your argument to get these negotiations done as quickly as possible as you are pitching your
facts, you notice that the delegates across from you are staring at you intently, and you don’t quite
know how to interpret their behavior or body language. Is it going well? Will they see your side of
the arguments and agree to sign the treaty? So, this is very important to cope up with other nation
before must know about their etiquette ,gesture , posture, all this thinks other wise relation will
disrupt.
