Saving Mazak Parameters

This document provides instructions for saving Mazak CNC machine parameters using CIMCO DNC-Max software. The process involves selecting the "DATA I/O" menu option on the Mazak control, then "CMT I/O" and "SAVE NC to CMT". From there, the user highlights or selects "1" in the parentheses next to different parameter types like "Tool-Data" and "Machine-Parameters" to save those settings to the CIMCO software. On older Mazak controls, the user must type "1" in the parentheses to select parameter types for saving.

Saving Mazak Parameters

Saving your Mazatrol settings using CIMCO DNC-Max is easy!  It is as simple as saving a
program, but you will need to highlight, or place a 1 instead of a 0 in the parenthesis following
each parameter type:

At your Mazak Fusion or Matrix Control:

1. Push the far left button until you see "DATA I/O" on the screen menu.
2. Push the "DATA I/O" button.
3. Push "CMT I/O"
4. Push "SAVE NC to CMT".
5. Push the arrow keys down until you get to the Tool-Data.
6. Push the "Input" button on the Mazak to highlight that selection
7. Keep pressing the "Input" button to select all the data-section items (Tool-Data, Tool-File,
Cut-Conditions, Machine-Parameters, User-Parameters, etc).
8. Press the "START" button

On older Mazak controls you will have to type a 1 in the ( ) following each setting type you wish
to save.

ie.

Tool Data (1)  will save your tooling data

Tool Data (0) will not save your tooling data
