Project Proposal

Project Food and Safety: Early Christmas Food Packs Drive of Macalaya
National High School
(Addressing the Impacts of Covid-19 crisis as an early Christmas Aid)

I. Project Title:
Project Food and Safety: Addressing the Impacts of Covid-19 through Food Packs for the
estimated four hundred fifty (450) families of Macalaya National High School Community.
II. Rationale:
The actions taken to address the results of the pandemic, which made a significant impact on
the income stability of every family, eating patterns, and nutrition of the people. Although
there is no definitive proof that certain dietary habits can reduce the incidence of COVID-19,
we do know that eating a nutritious diet, staying active, controlling stress, and getting
adequate sleep are all important for maintaining a healthy immune system. However, the
COVID-19economic and health crisis is causing a variety of distinct and individual
consequences, including food insecurity, economic interruptions, emotional suffering, and
more.
Many families are suffering from lack of food due to interruption of regular work across the
country. The parents of our students belong to those ones who are now struggling to provide
for their families. Macalaya National high School and the faculty and staff are determined to
bridge the gap on food scarcity and security through food packs distribution for our
stakeholders.
III. Objectives:
 To promote Food Donation During COVID-19 for Macalaya National High School
stakeholders (Rice, Fruits and Vegetables, Basic groceries).
 To encourage camaraderie and bayanihan among the community Macalaya National High
School through humanitarian activity.
IV. Project Description:
This project is being launched to help the families of the students at Macalaya National High
School with food packs as early Christmas aid. The project wants our target beneficiaries to
feel and see that there is still hope despite the many challenges of the pandemic. We want them
to feel that Macalaya National high School is aiming to create a link with volunteer
organizations and private individuals to alleviate the effects of minimal to no jobs, lack of funds
to buy the necessities and immediate access to basic need of the student’s families in Macalaya
National High School.

Please refer to attached Program of works and requirements.
