PART 2: STEP 5

 How well is the class doing as a whole group? Provide two statements.
Based on the data collected, the class did not do very well on this test. The average for
the class was 65.42 percent which is a typically a D in a letter grade. From the data it
seems as though their class is divided on where they scored. Scores were all over the
place. Out of a class of 17 students 10 students passed the test when the rest failed. If I
were the teacher of this class, I would divided the students into different groups or tiers
based on their scores and provide customized help for each group during math small
groups.

 Which individuals are doing well and in what topics? Describe at least 3 students.
The students that are doing good with addition are Huge, Juan, and Holly. All these
students got all the addition questions on the test correct. The students who did very well
on the subtraction questions where Juan, Cody, and Hannah. These three students
scored 100 percent on the division questions. Lastly, the students who did well on the
division problems were Juan and Cody. Based on the test results the students who have
mastered these topics, or are close to mastering these topics, are Juan who scored 100
percent on the test and Cody who scored a 93 percent.

 Who may need extra support and on what topics? Describe at least 3 students.
The students who seem to have the lowest scores on this test, who might need a little
extra help, are Sarah and Luke. Both students scored 40 percent on the test. Based on
the data collected, Sarah would need help with division and addition because she scored
a 20 and 40 percent on those questions and 80 percent on the subtraction problems.
Luke needs to focus on addition and subtraction, because he scored 40 percent on these
two topics. One other student who may need more support, based on these test scores,
would be Patrick. Patrick scored a score of 46.67 percent on the test. The area I would
have Patrick focus on in small groups or individual work time would be subtraction and
division for these were the two areas he struggled with from the test. He scored a 40 on
both subtraction and division problems.
