Hospital Description Text

A hospital is a place where sick people seek and receive medical services as well as a
clinical education place for medical students, nurses and various other health professions.
Association of Hospital Care (in Azwar, 1996) explains that the hospital is a center where public
health, medical education and research are held.
The function of the hospital is to provide and organize health efforts that are in the nature
of healing and recovering patients, educational and training facilities in the medical field.
The hospital is divided into 2 general hospitals and a special hospital. General hospital is
a hospital that provides health services in all fields and types of disease, while a special hospital
is a hospital that provides main services in one particular area or type of disease based on
scientific discipline, age group, type of disease or other specialties.
In a hospital there are health workers who serve hospital patients, health workers
themselves are people who devote themselves to the health sector and have knowledge and skills
through education in the health sector which for certain types of authority have the authority to
make health efforts doctors, nurses, pharmacists, radiographers, and others.
Inside the hospital, there are several medical facilities such as inpatient, outpatient,
emergency room, operating room, pharmacy, ICU, MCU, physiotherapy, laboratory, radiology,
and ambulance. and there are several public facilities such as an ATM center, canteen, and
mushalla. In the hospital there are several services such as emergency services, inpatient
services, outpatient services, surgery services, support services.
