SNAP 2021 Form-Filling Guidelines

The registration process for SNAP & the Institutes is integrated. Candidates can complete the
SNAP as well as programme registrations in the same portal

Note:
• SNAP 2021 will be conducted on three different dates.
• A candidate can appear for a maximum of two tests for SNAP 2021. If a candidate appears for two
tests, the higher score will be considered for final percentile calculation and there will be no
normalization.

SNAP 2021 Form-Filling Guidelines

Pre-requisites for SNAP 2021 Registration:

✔ Valid email ID, phone number and contact details.


✔ A scan copy of recent passport size colour photo (not more than three months old) in .jpg, .jpeg,
.png or .gif formats, with a size between 10 KB to 5 MB
✔ Category Certificates, if any
✔ Keep your 10th, 12th & Graduation Percentage handy.

Step 1: Create an Account (Registration Form)

Fill in the details as requested.

Name:
● Applicant Name should be entered exactly as per 10th/12th Mark Sheet/Certificate.

Category:
● Select your Category.
● If you belong to OBC category, please select your category as ‘Open’.
● For the candidates applying under SC/ ST category: Kindly note that caste certificates issued only
for respective state govt. benefits will not be accepted. Caste certificates, if issued in vernacular,
will need to be supported by a certified English translation, issued by a competent authority.

SNAP Test Option:


● Select maximum of 2 SNAP Test Dates
● Select Test Cities for each SNAP Test Date
● You can either select the same Test City for both the test attempts or a different city for each
attempt.

Note: Test City and Test Date are allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Photo:
● Upload your current passport-sized photo (not more than 3 months old)
● File Format: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF
● File Size: Between 10 KB and 5 MB. Photos above 100 kb will be automatically resized by the
system.

Please verify your Name, Date of birth, Category and Photograph. Once saved, these details cannot
be changed / altered.
Click on 'Save & Continue'. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email id that you have entered.
You will also get an e-mail & SMS mentioning your SNAP ID and password.

Step 2: Payment of SNAP Test Fee

Login to your SNAP account and make a payment of SNAP Test Fee of Rs.1,950/- each. Please note that
the SNAP Test fee and programme registration fee of the Institute is non-refundable and non-
transferable.

Step 3: Personal Details

In “Registration Form Part II”, click on “Personal Details” tab and fill the requested details.

Step 4 : Work Experience

● If “Yes” then Full-time work experience (as on 31st December 2021) after graduation will be
considered as valid Work Experience
● Part time/ Project/ Internship/ Articleship /Pre-graduation work experience should not be entered
and will not be counted as work experience.

Step 5: Educational Details

● Enter your 10th Percentage, 12th Percentage, UG Degree Percentage & Highest Qualification details.
● The scores should be entered in Percentage only.
● In case of CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as
certified by the respective board/ University/ institution. If there is no scheme for converting
CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's
CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.
● If currently appeared for Bachelor's Degree and awaiting results, mention highest qualification as
“Appeared for Bachelor's Degree’’ (In this case candidates are not required to fill their
percentage/CGPA of UG Degree)
● If UG University studied is outside India, choose 'University outside India' under ‘Your UG
University Name’.
Step 6: Select Programme(s)

● Select the programmes that you would like to apply to.


● A candidate aspiring to join her/his desired MBA/MSc programme(s) is required to complete the
registration process of those programmes before the closing date of the same.
● There is a separate registration fee payment of INR 1,000/- (non- refundable and non-
transferable) per programme per Institute at this stage.
● You may select as many Programmes as you wish to apply to. This can be reviewed and updated
prior to payment.
● The modes of payment for the programme(s) registration fee are same as that for SNAP Test Fee.

Step 9: Upload Document

• Upload a scan copy of recent passport size colour photo (not more than three months old) in .jpg,
.jpeg, .png or .gif formats, with a size between 10 KB to 5 MB

In “Registration Form Part II”, click on “Upload Document” tab.

● Please upload all the mandatory documents. Applicable only for DA , SC , ST categories.
● The upload document should be in .docx, .doc, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .pdf formats only and the
document size can be up to 2 MB (2048 KB).
● Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) category candidates have to upload supporting
documents (i.e Category certificate).
● Differently Abled (DA) category candidates have to upload Medical Certificate.
● If you do not belong to any of the above categories (DA/SC/ST), click on "Personal Details" tab or
"Make Payment" tab to continue with your Registration.
Step 10: Make Payment for Institute Programme(s)

Review your selection of programmes and make a payment of Rs.1,000/- per programme. The modes of
payment for the programme(s) registration fee are same as that for SNAP Test Fee.

Q 1– Do I have to fill up the SNAP Test & Institute form separately?


The registration process for SNAP & the Institutes is integrated. Candidates can complete the SNAP as
well as programme registrations in the same portal

Q 2 - What should be my Institute preference while applying ?

Q 4 – How to fill the academic details?


Enter your 10th Marks, 12th Marks, Bachelors Degree Details & Highest Qualification. The scores should
be entered in Percentage only. In case of CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based
on the procedure as certified by the respective board/ University/ institution. If there is no scheme for
converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the
candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.

Q 5 – I am in my Final Year of Graduation. What should I enter in the Academic Details?


If currently appeared for Bachelor's Degree and awaiting results or in the Final Year of Graduation,
please mention highest qualification as “Appeared for Bachelor's Degree’’ (In this case candidates are
not required to fill their percentage/CGPA of UG Degree).

Q 6- How many times can I take the SNAP 2021 Test?


SNAP Test 2021 will be conducted on three different dates. A candidate can appear for a maximum of
two tests for SNAP 2021.

Q 7 – How to fill the Work Experience details?


Full-time work experience (as on 31st December 2021) after graduation will be considered as
valid Work Experience. Part time/ Project/ Internship/ Articleship /Pre-graduation work

Q 8 – What are the requirements for Category documents?


A candidate applying under any of the reserved categories (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled
Tribes / Differently Abled / Children or Wards of Defence Personnel* / Kashmiri Migrants) is
mandatorily required to submit relevant document issued by competent authority.
For the candidates applying under SC/ ST category: Kindly note that caste certificates issued
only for respective state govt. benefits will not be accepted. Caste certificates, if issued in
vernacular, will need to be supported by a certified English translation, issued by a competent
authority.
