EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION No. CMRL/HR/DEP/09/2021 dated: 25-08-2021
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government
of Tamil Nadu, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of
implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Chennai.
CMRL invites applications from Indian Railway Officials on deputation basis for the post of
Deputy General Manager (Signalling & Telecom) / Manager (Signalling & Telecom).

3. Scale of Pay for deputation post - (i) The deputationist shall be entitled to draw
pay being drawn in the parent organization.
Additionally, deputation allowance and project
allowance at 10% of Basic Pay each will be
paid.
(or)
(ii) Option to draw pay and allowances as per
the parent organization or to draw equivalent
cadre IDA pay scale in CMRL with IDA, HRA
and Cafeteria Allowances of 20% of Basic
Pay.

6. Age - Age not exceeding 45 years as on date of
notification i.e. 25.08.2021 (Age will be relaxed
for experienced candidates)
7. Method of Recruitment - On Deputation
8. Tenure of deputation - Initial Period of deputation will be for a period
of 3 years, which shall be extendable up to 5
years.
9. Qualification & Experience - i) Bachelor Degree in Electronics &
Communication (ECE) / Electrical &
Electronics Engineering (EEE) or a
combination of any of these disciplines

from a Govt. recognized Institute /
University approved by AICTE / UGC.
ii) (a) Should be in JAG grade with minimum
service of 6 years in Group-A / 10
years in Group-B for DGM post.
(b) Should be in Assistant Officer / Senior
Supervisor grade with proven track
record of minimum of 7 years of
experience in Group-B or minimum of
10 years of experience in Group-C as
SSE / SE for Manager post.
iii) Should have experience in Implementing
design, installation, testing, commissioning,
maintenance of Electronic Interlocking
Systems for Railway Applications / AFTC
based automatic signaling / AFTC or Axle-
counter based track detection systems /
Train Protection & Warning Systems
Technical Tender documents preparation /
Tender documents submission / Tender
Evaluation / Contract Management in the
above areas.
iv) Implementation of design, installation,
commissioning of OFC based back-bone
communication systems, Wi-Fi networks in
open bands, MAN/LAN systems, digital/IP
exchanges, PA system, Surveillance system in
Railway / Industrial environments, will be an
advantage.

b. Depending on the requirement the CMRL reserves the right to cancel / curtail /
increase the number of vacancies without any further notice and without assigning
any reason thereof.
c. The last date for receipt of application is 24.09.2021
d. Applicants shall compulsorily provide an email ID for correspondence. All
correspondence from CMRL shall be sent only through the email ID provided by the
applicant.
