Students will be asked to give their opinion for the terms they should define. After students
share their definitions the teacher will display a formal definition for both terms to
students.

Terms Definition
Output An output is data that a computer sends. Computers only work with
digital information. Any input that a computer receives must be
digitised. Often data has to be converted back to an analogue format
when it's output, for example the sound from a computer's speakers.
Output device An output device allows data to be transmitted by the computer in a
human-friendly form, for example, sound being played through a
speaker. Monitor - The main output device of a computer. It forms
images by converting electrical energy into light in the form of tiny
dots on the screen called pixels.

Objective 2

Distinguish between soft copy and hard copy; human readable and machine readable devices.

Students will be told that an output device can produce one of two types of output, they will
be instructed to unscramble the words below to figure out the two types of output.
