(GROUP 5 PRESENTATION)

FUNCTIONS OF COMMUNICATION

When it comes to function of communication, I didn’t understand how functions of communication


works in real life situation. I had a merely knowledge of this topic. We all only know that how we
communicate to other people, Also the verbal and non-verbal communication the meaning of
these two and how these two works in real life situation. Another one it can improve and regulate
your behavior and interactions. Also, how we feel motivated when we are talking to a person.
Function of communication should be important to us in everyday situation of our life.

In my perspective point of view, I felt they hard work on their video on how
they elaborate the parts of their topic. Also, I feel happy on their presentation. Because it has an
icebreaker in a unique way. They had many ideas on how they put some impact to their video like
icebreaker and explaining what their topic is. Although many ideas of their video that I agreed
with, Also, they need some improvement on their video like the quality of the video because the
video was kind a lag and choppy. Another one is the background music and the most important
the voice over because the background music was more dominant than the voice over.

As a classmate, I realized that they enjoy their video presentation I


appreciate how the cooperate to their group on how they build the concept of the video. I realized
too how they write the scripts. They must stay awake just to come up with ideas like other groups
did to their video presentation. I learned that how functions of communication work in real life.
Like the motivational speaker on how they motivate person with problems of their life and how
they fight their problems to keep motivated in their lives. And the teachers to inform the students
on lessons that him/her taught to students. Lastly how the lawyers persuade the judge and the
audience. I learned the functions of communication on how to imply in real life situation like
motivating your classmate even he/she is depressed or having an anxiety attack. The quiz has
also a big impact in their video because to know if their video is effective to the audience. I learned
a lot in their topic. Even if has some technicalities to their video presentation you can still learn.
For instance, Function of communication helps us to make us what we are. I expected to their
next topic they need to improve their quality of the video, structure of the video, music of the video
and lastly the voice over of the video. I also expected that they need to improve the edit of the
video to make people interested and to enlighten people. The most importantly is to build a final
concept on their video not a piece-by-piece idea to make people understand what video is all
about. I hope my reflection on group five is helpful to make them improve their future video
presentation.
