AVAGLYCO HC
Fire and explosion hazard If involved in fire, it may produce oxides of carbon Incomplete
combustion may lead to the build-up of toxic pyrolysis products. It
will support combustion
Protective equipment In case of fire wear a full face positive pressure self contained
breathing apparatus and protective suit
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Take off all contaminated clothing.
Wear suitable personal protective equipment. Spills can cause very
slippery surfaces
Environmental precautions Do not discharge into drains or the environment. Do not contaminate
ground water system
Methods for cleaning up Large and small spills: dam up and absorb with sand/earth or other
absorbent material. Reclaim into recovery or salvage drums. Wash
area from residues with soap and water and rinse down.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling Do not take internally! Do not breathe aerosols and mists. Avoid
contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable personal protective
equipment. Contaminated clothing should be washed before re-use
Storage conditions Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, dry place
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering measures General ventilation is recommended
Exposure limits
Personal protection equipment
Respiratory protection Avoid generating aerosols and mists. Respiratory protection not
normally needed
Hand/skin protection Neoprene gloves. Standard protective clothing
