The serving meal provide all nutrients that children at the age need to grow

The objectives of the BARANGAY – BASED SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING
PROGRAM is to reduce the occurrence of malnutrition in the barangay, and help
the youth to obtain their most efficient way of living, we must introduce
development programs and enhancement activities.
V. Community Service Project Background:
 RATIONALE

An empty stomach has great effect on a pupil’s attendance and

performance in school. Given the importance of education in shaping the
country’s future, the proponent continued the Supplementary Feeding Program
for the Day Care pupils of Barangay Caramutan, La Paz, Tarlac. Since its
inception in 2016, the project proved helpful in addressing hunger that in turn
keep children in school and learn better.

A child who does not receive essential nutritive elements can suffer from
malnutrition and will be exposed to serious health problems which can hamper
their healthy development.

Our Day Care pupils should eat nutritious meals and attain their normal
body weight according to their age and height. It is for this reason, that the
proponent started a Supplementary Feeding Program and worked in
coordination with the parents of the pupils, Barangay Captain of Barangay
Caramutan and Barangay Day Care Worker.

if the Barangay Councils and the Barangay Day Care Worker allows us to
invite all the beneficiaries in the Barangay Covered Court to serve them the
