Level 1: ACCESS enables you to manage your equipment. Know where your equipment is, and
what it’s doing with near real-time information by using Cat® Product Link® hardware and
VisionLink® reporting capabilities.
• Product Link provides remote access to valuable information about your fleet, including mixed-fleet capabilities if the
equipment is capable:
– Equipment hours and location
– Equipment health
– Fuel information
• Utilizing fuel data can tell you what the last reported fuel level is on an asset and where it last reported from, enabling
more effectively scheduled refueling.

• Easily identify which parts you need and order them in just a few clicks
when your dealer provides access to Cat PartStore™.
• Gain a competitive advantage by knowing the history of your equipment,
e.g., cost, fuel use, and maintenance and quote future work more
accurately.
• Manage and save fuel costs by understanding how much fuel
equipment is using and why, e.g., idle time or operator technique.
• Effectively manage your resources to plan preventive maintenance for
Cat and mixed-fleet equipment.
– Set up alerts for upcoming maintenance intervals, scheduled repairs,
and asset utilization.

Level 1: ACCESS

• Track your operator performance with operator-induced alerts, which


may indicate training is needed.
• Designate operation zones for your equipment using site boundaries
and receive alerts when equipment moves in or out of these zones.
• The VisionLink web interface shows health and utilization data
from your Cat assets and has mixed-fleet capabilities, based on the
equipment capabilities.
• If your dealer is performing your fluid analysis, Level 1: ACCESS will
integrate your sample reports for easy visibility.
• Understand and track your equipment’s use to improve efficiency.
Understanding this data will provide the information you need to
reassign equipment where it’s needed most, increasing utilization.
• Product Link hardware, integrated into equipment electronic control
modules (ECM), provides electronic information communication
capability.
• Integrating the VisionLink data into your company’s business systems
is easily accomplished through the API data feed.

Level 2: INFORM

Level 2: INFORM is a proactive solution that helps you


see the value of the electronic telematic information
your equipment provides by utilizing the Cat®
Product Link® technology and VisionLink® application.
INFORM helps you manage your equipment with an automated monthly
report provided by your Cat® dealer containing health and utilization
trends with benchmark comparisons against geographic region
averages. These comparisons will provide a high-level snapshot of your
fleet’s relative performance compared to fleets in your area.
Utilize the monthly report to determine if there are areas you want to dig
into for more detail. Your dealer can provide additional consultation to
determine root causes.

• Your dealer provides you with a monthly summary, leveraging your equipment’s electronic information.
• See your equipment’s average run time vs. idle time to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Compares your fleet average against regional averages in five areas:
– Key operator-induced fault codes
– Run time
– Fuel burn
– Idle time
– Overall average comparison against regional fleets

Level 3: ADVISE provides expert analysis and recommendations from your Cat® dealer that will
help you make better-informed decisions.
Your Cat® dealer is a trusted partner who will utilize technology to deliver exclusive equipment management solutions.
ADVISE will help you schedule timely maintenance, reduce operating expenses, and improve the overall health of your
equipment fleet by identifying symptoms before they become expensive problems. ADVISE puts a knowledgeable,
experienced equipment advisor – your Cat dealer – to work providing expert advice on how and when to maintain your
equipment... and helping utilize the valuable information from regular equipment inspections and fluid analysis.

• Your Cat dealer is the exclusive source for expert recommendations related to the health of your equipment.
• Expert dealer analysis and interpretation of information can identify potential failures.
• Expert dealers can recommend planned maintenance and repair to
help avoid expensive, unplanned downtime.
• Dealer interpretation of event and diagnostic codes help identify
