TASK ENVIRONMENT

DEFINITION:
- The task environmet is the apart of the external environment.
- Task environment are things that are close to the organization and effect it the most.
- The task environment is the main focus for the organization.
- Includes competitors, customer, suppliers and labor market.
- Analyzing task environment can make better informed decisions on what to do
strategically and pick a good and effective direction for the government to go in.

CUSTOMERS
DEFINITION:
- Customers are the people in the environment that acquire goods or service from the
organization. They create demand for products and are the source of income for the
business.
- The customer may be an individual, or an institution such as a school, hospital, or
government agency.
- Customers are the life of any organization. Organizations must work towards achieving
customers’ satisfaction and attract new ones.
- Organizations have to be responsive because customers determine the organization’s
success.
- Organizations now have well-defined organized systems in keeping up with customers.
They establish formal contacts asking customers for feedback about the quality of their
products and service and invite them to participate in helping make product changes.
- There may still some laws to protect customers from companies that attempt to provide
dangerous or shoddy products. Law exists that enable customers to sue companies
whose product cause harm.

SO WHAT IS THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN BUSINESS AND EDUCATION?

- In business, cooperate behavior is important in strengthening relationships with


orgranizations between individuals and teams because it reflects the value of the
business that defines it and make the company much more different and better than
any other companies.
- In education, which is in UEH univeristy, the lead of UEH university always listen to
students and provide students with the most effective product and service that students
desire the university will be way more successful.

SO WHAT CAN UEH UNIVERSITY DO TO EFFECT THE CUSTOMERS, WHICH IS


COLLEGE STUDENTS?
- With the widespread of the COVID-19 pandemic these days, not only UEH university but
also all other universities struggling finding a way to provide the most effective online
classroom. So, in UEH univeristy, there are a lot of talkshows which is organized by many
successful teachers to strive for the oppenness to learn from differences of any ideas
and opinions of each students.
- Again, as the pandemic is still tension, college students cannot attempt to school. And as
freshmen, like K47, we cannot fully see how the univeristy operates and the trully
environment. To find a solution, UEH provides all new college students by creating lots
of platform for students to attempt such as BREAKROOM GAMING – a module of
cyberspace to provides all quality games where there are more 40 clubs and groups to
participate in, in order to satisfied the need of all college students.

- The leaders of UEH will make a lot of decisions based on what college students need,
where students can ask whenever there are any problems (example: gmail).
- For students, students are expected to be good citizens and to engage in responsible
behaviors that reflect well upon their univeristy, to be civil to one another and to others
in the university community.
EFFECTS OF COMPETITION ON
UEH

1.DEFINITION:
 Competitors are organizations within the same industry or type of business that vie
for the same set of customers. UEH has many competitors in the form of other
universities of economics, i.e:

 Competition in the education industry force UEH to constantly innovate and make
advances in all fields of education through:
 Improvements in infrastructure and quality of the facilities for teacher and students
 Implementation of new technologies in learning and teaching
 Increase in national and international cooperation and student interaction

 To accomplish these tasks, UEH is taking initiative through many programs that aims
to help UEH keep up with current trends and the competition.
TASK ENVIRONMENT – SUPPLIERS (BRIEF)
I) Definition
Suppliers provide the raw materials that the organization utilizes to produce its output.
Suppliers are a critical part of the task environment.
Suppliers have high bargaining power.
Suppliers provide nonphysical resources.

If demand is available, supply is absolutely created

III) The impact of supplier environment to UEH


Online activities: Cyberspace platforms play a crucial role in advertising information and
curriculums. For example, Facebook provide a platform for UEH to livestreaming its 45-year
event; for UEH club to broadcast themselves.

Internship oppportunity: Intern company gives UEH students chance to work as a newbie in the
final year.

Education aspect: To develop the university’s teaching quality, UEH has been seeking for
talented teachers and mentors to come and companion with it, which become a great example
for the supplier environment.

LABOR MARKET
1. Definition: people in the environment who can be hired to work for the organization.
Specific to the education system,  there are the university lecturers , the technology
employees.
2. DSA is well-trained in expertise, attitude, skills and professionalism to meet the
satisfaction of learners as well as other UEH partners. DSA  provides and meets all
information needs about UEH for learners, potential learners and other interested
partners. In addition to direct support at three offices of UEH's main campuses as well as
online support platforms for learners anytime, anywhere; DSA also has a UEH
switchboard system to help connect and support learners in the most convenient way.
All data and learner information is integrated in the CRM system to help support
information for learners quickly, accurately and reliably.

3. The teaching staff are selected from excellent lecturers of the University of Economics of
Ho Chi Minh City, other universities and leading experts in the field of management and
administration: 25 Professor, 53 Associate Professor ,175 Doctor ,335 Master, 150
foreign expertises. UEH's training programs and course content are constantly being
improved and updated in the direction of modernity and science, taught in Vietnamese
and English, meeting the requirements of learners in all disciplines and levels learn. The
school has 7 AUN-QA program standards and 4 FIBAA program standards (European),
with over 20 partner devices in training activities and international cooperation,

scientific research, international publication. cell.

3. Impact: This is the first model in the system of public higher education institutions in
Vietnam when placing learners in the position of customers. Dsa and teaching staff
mainly focus on caring for and supporting learners, ensuring guarantee to create the
best conditions for them to study, live and research at UEH. These masters and doctors
are promoting their roles well in central and local agencies; fields and field consulting.
