Cartesian Products, Set Identities & Duality. Classes of sets, Partitions, Finite sets & the
Counting Principle.
Relations: Product Sets, Relations, Representation of relations, Composition of relations, Types
of Relations, Closure Properties, Equivalence Relations, Partial Ordering relations.
Functions: Definitions, Examples of important mathematical functions e.g. The identity
function, The zero function, The restriction map, the inclusion map, Exponential and
Logarithmic function, the Absolute value Function, The floor and ceiling function, Piecewise
defined functions, The Hamming distance function, Boolean Function, Recursively defined
functions, Factorial Function, Composition of functions, Injections, surjections, Bijections,
