ANNEX
1. Purpose of revision
The wood hammer for inspection by hitting sound for grindstone was added to the wood hammer series
because it was set for the safety standard at the cutting tool subcommittee. The system of units was
changed to the SI unit system in 1997.
2. Revision history
Establishment: Jan. 18, 1975
Revision 1st: Jun. 1978
2nd: Apr. 13, 1984
3rd: Sep. 24, 1997
4th: Jan. 29, 2001
5th: Mar. 10, 2010 (This time)
3. Points of revision
3.1 “(For production)” was deleted from “Hammers (For production)” in the title and the title was revised
to “Hammers”.
3.2 The nominal number 25 for the hammer for inspection by hitting sound for grindstone was added to
the wood hammer series.
3.3 The tool code was changed with revision of NES T0053 (Coding System of Operating Tools).
3.4 Indication of “weight” was revised to “mass”.
3.5 Tolerance was added to the shapes and dimensions of hammers to allow the product tolerance.
3.6 The tool code was changed with revision of NES T0053 (Coding System of Operating Tools). (This
time)
