1. Introduction
Life is becoming too busy to get medical appointments in person and to
maintain a proper health care. The main idea of this work is to provide ease
and comfort to patients while taking appointment from doctors and it also
resolves the problems that the patients has to face while making an
appointment.
The system allows doctors to manage their booking slots online. Patients are
allowed to book empty slots online and those slots are reserved in their name.
The system manages the appointment data for multiple doctors of various date
and times. If anybody is ill and wants to visit a doctor for checkup, he or she
needs to visit the hospital and waits until the doctor is available. The patient
also waits in a queue while getting appointment. If the doctor cancels the
appointment for some emergency reasons then the patient is not able to know
about the cancelation of the appointment unless or until he or she visits the
hospital. As the Online Appointment System is developing rapidly, therefore,
one can use the system to overcome such problems and inconvenience for the
patients. An intelligent agent based appointment system has been proposed in
which a scheduling system is provided for patients.

2. Objective
 To Create Web based online Doctor’s Appointment system.
 To reduce the manual work for managing the doctor patient
appointment
 To manage all patients related information.
 To provide emergency information in critical situation.

3. Problem Description

Now a days, most people do not have time in their busy life. So if they want to
go to a doctor, they will think twice because the process of booking an
appointment and waiting in the queue is cumbersome and time consuming. In
this case doctor’s appointment app will help them to consult with the doctor
without any much effort

4. Methodology
 WATERFALL MODEL

The sequential phases in Waterfall model are:

1. Requirement
Gathering and analysis: All possible requirements of the system to be
developed are captured in this phase and documented in a requirement
specification doc.

2. System Design:
The requirement specifications from first phase are studied in this phase and
system design is prepared. System Design helps in specifying hardware and
system requirements and also helps in defining overall system architecture.

3. Implementation:
With inputs from system design, the system is first developed in small
programs called units, which are integrated in the next phase. Each unit is
developed and tested for its functionality which is referred to as Unit Testing.

4. Integration and Testing:


All the units developed in the implementation phase are integrated into a
system after testing of each unit. Post integration the entire system is tested for
any faults and failures.

5. Deployment of system:
Once the functional and nonfunctional testing is done, the product is deployed
in the customer environment or released into the market.

6. Maintenance:
There are some issues which come up in the client environment. To fix those
issues patches are released. Also to enhance the product some better versions
are released. Maintenance is done to deliver these changes in the customer
environment

applications to overcome such problems and inconvenience for the patients In
this case, Doctors Appointment App will come to rescue as one can easily
book the appointment for a doctor and need not go to the clinic/hospital.
Therefore, this application has a vast scope as it will reduce the effort and
waiting time of a patient. Sometimes, even to edit/cancel the appointment, the
patient has to either visit the clinic/hospital or has to make a phone call. But by
using this application, the patient can easily edit/cancel the appointment.
Therefore, the proposed system will be needed by most of the people as all
their manual efforts will be reduced.
6. Feasibility Study
It is a big project which contains so many modules that are interlinked with
each other but hopefully this will be completed on scheduled time.

i. Risks Involved:
The risk in this project is what if the doctor cannot see the
appointment notification on time. And to cater this what we will do is
we send email to the relevant doctor when the patient book his
appointment with the doctor.

7. Solution Application Areas


The industry or domain that this project is targeting is the medical domain this
project will be helpful to the patients by managing their appointment with the
doctor and this project will also be helpful to the doctors as they can also work
in their free or any specific time they wanted to work they just simply show
their availability of that time and patients will make their appointment with
them within that time.

9. Expertise of the Team Members


The team members have great interest in web development and have much
knowledge about the frontend and backend languages they have done several
small tasks for good practice on the web languages and this big project will be
fun to do and help them to learn a lot more new things to increase their
knowledge and interest in this field.
10. Milestones

1- Admin or Master Users


 Admin can add Edit Delete and view Doctor Data.
 Admin can view all patient data.
 Admin can Schedule any Doctor Availability data and manage that data
like edit or delete it.
 Admin can view all doctor appointment data and he or she can also
process appointment.
 Admin can edit profile details.
 Admin can login into this system.
 Admin can see Analytics data.

2- Doctor Users
 Doctor can Add Edit Delete their availability data under this system.
 Doctor can view only his or her appointment data, they cannot see other
doctor appointment data.
 Doctor can see appointment patients details
 Doctor can write comment in patient appointment.
 Doctor can edit profile details.
 Doctor can login into this system.

3- Patients Users
 Patient can view Doctor Availability data on web page.
 Patient can register into this system.
 Patient can login into this system.
 Patient can book appointment and they can also cancel appointment.
 Patient can download appointment in PDF format also.
 Patient can change their profile details also.
