1. Take a glimpse and elicit your idea of what you know and understand about
creative writing

Dictionary.com 2013 defines creative writing as an exercise of creating

imaginative drama, fiction or poetry , esp. as a course of study. In reference to this,
Making things up is an art form, and creative writing is one of them. It is writing that
is not academic or technical in nature, but still captivates an audience through
imagination and creative minds. As a result, it can be defined as any original and
expressive writing rather than just presenting the facts as it aims to discuss
entertainment and significant human experiences.

In addition, Creative Writing grant the learners to various opportunities in

creating their own works. The goal of creative writing is to organize thoughts and
make plans, to improve writing and become a more attentive listener and observer,
to express emotions, to investigate important questions, and to find emotional
perspective and balance. It grants the learners to various opportunities in creating
their own works.

Moreover, we tend to usually think that writing creatively is hard. In this case
I'd claim that maybe it’s not that hard but a quite challenging. Thus, it's entirely
dependent on an individual's level of imagination; your ability to conjure up
characters and scenarios in your head and hook your readers. The more you write,
the wilder your imagination becomes. The more imaginative you are, the more
creative you will become.

Simply put, the value of creative writing stems from its ability to describe the
world in an honest and unfiltered manner. Anyone who engages in creative writing,
regardless of genre or style, aids in the exploration and dissemination of new ideas,
as well as the advocacy for a better society. Whether you write for yourself or for a
larger audience, creative writing improves the world.

Icon of Democracy

The nation awash in deep grief as it mourns the death of former

Philippine President Benigno Aquino III – the reserved scion of one of Asia’s
most famous political families. Known widely by his nicknames “Noynoy” and
“PNoy,” Aquino passed away in his sleep at the age of 61 on June 24 due to
renal failure, according to his elder sister Pinky Abellada.

Growing up in the shadow of two icons of Philippine democracy:

Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., a former senator and late former President
Corazon “Cory” Aquino, Noynoy, himself a bachelor, was often described as
the quiet Aquino. PNoy, who was in power from 2010 to 2016, made ‘fighting
corruption’ his mantra, capitalizing on his family’s clean reputation, and
vowed to reduce the poverty afflicting a third of the population. Like his
parents, Ninoy and Cory, Noynoy dedicated his life to ideals of democracy
and the well-being of Filipinos, giving hope and moral courage when the
country needed it the most. His six years in office was a proof of his
fundamental thesis: that good governance delivers great economics. To honor
his legacy is to continue the fight against corruption and reaffirm our
fundamental freedoms and human rights.

Indeed, he has made the six years of his presidency count. The
turnaround story of the Philippines – from Asia’s sick man to Asia’s bright star
– is without doubt one of his greatest legacies. In death and for all eternity
former President Noynoy will be reunited with his parents as he is laid to rest
at the final resting place of the Philippine democracy icons in Paranaque City.
