2011 IQS PDI QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTIONS

Tagline @ 70% Black

* NOTICE
This bulletin has been revised most recently to include additional information
for the 2011MY Sportage. New/revised sections of this bulletin are indicated by a
black bar in the margin area.

Many of the components of the 2011 IQS study are heavily influenced by Kia
dealerships through the pre-delivery (PDI) and retail delivery process. These items
include:
1. Vehicle PDI inspection and assurance of highest quality delivery.
2. Cleanliness of the interior & exterior.
3. Dents / Dings / Scratches to the Exterior.
4. Sales & Service department explanation of features & controls so the customer can fully
understand and operate them without confusion.
2011 Model Year vehicles sold from November 1, 2010 to February 28, 2011 are subject to
the new vehicle 2011 JDPA Initial Quality Survey (IQS). For Technicians & PDI Specialists,
this means paying extra attention to the details during the Pre-Delivery Inspection and
product quality delivery.
This bulletin highlights some of the product quality areas that require particular
attention during the Pre-Delivery Inspection.
