CHAPTER V

MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

This chapter present the form of business organization, organizational

structure, personnel qualification, personnel duties and responsibilities, personnel

salaries structure, pre-operating activities and timetable of the proposed business.

Form of Business Organization

The form of business organization will be partnership. Partnership is a legal

form of business operation between two or more individuals who share management

and profits. The partners manage the company and assume responsibility for the

partnership’s debts and obligations.

Partnership doesn’t pay tax on its income but “passes through” any profits or

losses to the individual partners. At the tax time, the partnership must file a tax return

that reports its income and loss to the IRS.

Organizational Structure

Organizational structure is a system that outlines how certain activities are

directed in order to achieve the goals of an organization. These activities include rules,

roles, and responsibilities (Will K. 2020).

Functional Structure

The researchers used functional structure. According to Fahad Usmani

(2020), functional structure divides the organization into departments based on their
function. Each is headed by a functional manager and employees are grouped as per

their role.

Personnel Qualification

For business to operate smoothly and effectively, the management

acknowledge the important of selection and hiring of good resources to also help the

overall performance of the business. For meeting the goals of the business, various

attributes such as the qualifications, skills, experiences and the overall attitude of the

applicants are evaluated. The following are the list of qualifications that the employees

should possess to successfully be part of the proposed business.

 At least Highschool Graduate

 At least 25 years old

 Handle cash, credit or check transactions responsibly

 Good in cleaning and maintenance


 Have the proper check and care of inventory

Personal Duties and Responsibilities

Potential employees often take several roles, completing jobs outside the

initial range of their job description. The duties and responsibilities will serve as their

guide to stick with respective tasks and to clearly define their roles in the business.

Manager

 Takes charge to the overall operation of the business

 Records sales and revenue

 Making of Financial Statements

 Manage stocks and inventory

Security Guard

 Checks the attendance of all employee

 Secures the business establishment properly

 Performs security check to the customers

Cashier/Front Desk Officer

 Receives payments collection and releases of payment

 Computes and records total sales of transactions

 Serves as front desk and accommodate customers

 Monitor time rate and balance of customers in using computers

 Keep and maintains the records of transactions

 Checks daily cash accounts


Janitor/Inventory

 Cleans the area, computers, and other equipment properly

 Check the stock and inventory if it is in good condition

 Operates the selling of foods and beverages of the cybercafé

Personnel Salaries Structure


Pre – Operating Activities

The proposed business presents a timeline of activities that needs to be

accomplished prior to the opening. It bears emphasis that these activities/transactions

are made before the official start of the business follows a fixed path in establishing the

business.

Conduct of Feasibility Study. This involves the conduct of feasibility study

of establishing a cybercafé. This study contains different aspects to carefully examine

on how to execute a feasible business. It will take two (2) months to study.

Renovation of the Space. This involves the renovation and the preparation

of the area where the business will be established. Installation of electricity, water,

internet connection, and utilities are also included. This activity will take three (3)

months until finished.

Hiring and Training of Employees. To ensure the success of the business,

the management will hire people and train them properly in the most effective ways. The

process will start on putting up posters or posting on social media about the job hiring.

Then the willing applicants will be asked to submit their resume and will be interviewed

by the management. Lastly, if they passed the interview, they will be required to comply

and submit the other requirements. After a week of completion of requirements, they will

be train in the best possible ways. The business will take at least one (1) month to hire

potential workers

Processing of Business Permits, Licenses, and Insurance. This involves

the process of getting necessary business permits and licenses for the business to be
operate legally. Insurance such as SSS, Philhealth, Pag-Ibig, and etc. will be also

involve in the process. It will take two (2) months to be done.

Acquisition of Equipment. This involves the purchasing of equipment and

necessary things in the business. It should be done before opening the business to

successfully execute the operation. It will take two (2) months to fill all the needs.

Advertising and Promotion. The business need to make a promotion and

advertisements about their product and services. It will give an awareness to the

potential customers to experience this kind of product or services. Any type of

promotion and advertisements will be done in two (2) months.

Opening of the Business. After doing all the said activities, overall, it will

take twelve (12) months to start the actual operation.

Time Table

The Gantt chart represents the timeline of activities that needs to be done

before the official opening of the business. This will help in organizing the work and

encompasses the projects and helps to set a clear date, direction, and priorities.

CHAPTER VII

SOCIO-ECONOMIC ASPECT
This chapter discusses the benefits of the business to the society and to the

economy.

Benefits to the Society

Provides Employment. It will bring an opportunity to the individual who

wants to apply and get a job. This can lessen the number of unemployed individual

especially in the locality of General Santos City. The business will require 4 people to

operate.

Provide Opportunities. Even this business requires a huge amount of

money for the construction of the place, for acquiring or buying equipment and for

installing network connection, money will be compensated over time and likely to be

bigger than all of the expenses. This kind of venture will benefit the society because it

also has the capability to expand it function by providing different amenities and

services aside from the computer-use itself. This will give the people the ideas to invest

and establish one as the popularity of using computers for almost everything continues

to increase.

E-sports Sponsorship. E-sports is constantly growing and evolving industry

and E-sports athletes are on track to become recognizable and influential as others. As

our business also cater gamers, one of our way to giving back is to sponsor local E-

sports tournament by providing or adding to the tournament’s cash prizes and awards.

This will encourage young gamers to participate and showcase their gaming skills.
Benefits to the Economy

Payment of Taxes. Together with establishing a business, is a tax planning

strategy to achieve financial and business goals. Taxes are simply necessary part of

doing big business. Moreover, this business will be a great help for the government as

this will boost their tax revenue. They can now support public programs and fud

activities and projects for the people.

Healthy Economy through Competition. Cybercafé is not new in the

society as there are a lot of this almost everywhere. Establishing one will make the

economy healthier through competition. Offering different and unique services to

customers can encourage other owners or to look for ideas to also improve their own

businesses. The more the competition, the more awareness is raise about the

product/service, this leads to the creation and promotion of new and better services for

the people which can help drive the economic growth and increase the standards of

living.
