ACTIVITY 4

1. When I hear the term "research design," I immediately think of a proposal or preparation.
It is the framework of research methods and techniques that a researcher has chosen.
The design enables researchers to focus on research methods that are appropriate for the
subject matter and set up their studies for success.
2. I will definitely agree with my teacher because it is the proper way to conduct research.
Furthermore, research design has a significant impact on the reliability of the results
obtained. As a result, it serves as a solid foundation for the entire study. It is required
because it ensures the smooth operation of numerous research operations.
3. In my opinion, the personality required for designing a research study is hardworking and
enthusiastic. It is also important to be determined and confident when creating a
research study because once your methods and designs are finalized, implementing them
in the real world will require some justification.
4. If I were to conduct a study, I would use a qualitative phenomelogy research design. It is
a type of qualitative research that focuses on the investigation of a person's lived
experiences in the world. Although it is a powerful method of inquiry, and I am interested
in learning about people lives and experiences.
REFLECTION
The first characteristic we must have in order to complete the chosen topic and design
is confidence. You will come across clients who dislike your designs and will criticize your
work. This is simply the way things are. The following factor is passion. Any architect worth his
salt must have a strong passion for what they do. A strong drive will help you get through the
difficult times at school and at work. Then there's creativity. Being creative and having the
ability to see things from a different perspective will help you get noticed and stand out in the
architecture industry. Finally, in terms of teamwork, you will be at the bottom of the food chain
and will almost certainly be paired with a more research and project.

ACTIVITY 3
1. For me, knowing the sampling procedure is important since it allows researchers to
collect the same answers from a sample that they would receive from the population.
Non-random sampling is significantly less expensive than random sampling because it
reduces the cost of finding people and collecting data from them.
2. The term "probability sampling" refers to the fact that each member of the target
population has a known chance of being included in the sample. Non-probability
sampling involves selecting a sample based on non-random criteria, and not every
member of the population has an equal chance of being included.
3. Researchers use two methods to select random samples: random number tables and
random number generator software. Researchers prefer random number generator
software because it eliminates the need for human intervention in the generation of
samples. The first step is to define the population, the second step is to decide on the
sample size, the third step is to randomly select your sample, and the final step is to
collect data from your sample.
4. A sample is a smaller, more manageable representation of a larger group or subset of a
larger population. Using samples allows researchers to conduct their studies quickly and
easily. A sample of the population is usually used in research because it is easier and
less expensive to process a smaller subset of the population rather than the entire group.

REFLECTION
I learned that a sampling procedure is the process of selecting a subset of a population
to test hypotheses about the entire population. Used to select the number of participants,
interviews, or work samples to be used in the evaluation process. Furthermore, sampling is
extremely beneficial in research. It is one of the most critical factors in determining the
accuracy of your research/survey results. If something goes wrong with your sample, it will be
reflected directly in the final result.

ACTIVITY 2
1. A structured interview is a type of interview in which information is gathered through the
use of a set of standardized and premeditated questions. An unstructured interview, on
the other hand, is a type of interview that does not rely on a set of premeditated
questions in its data-gathering process.
2. A postal survey is a quantitative research method in which paper questionnaires are
mailed to potential participants, completed by the participants themselves, and mailed
back to the survey organization.
3. The primary distinction between group and individual interviews is the number of job
candidates interviewed at the same time. A group interview is a job interview in which
several candidates and one or more interviewers participate. A job interview with only one
interviewer and one candidate is referred to as an individual interview.
4. The distinction can be explained as follows: A direct observation gathers information
solely from a person's senses and is unaffected by thoughts. In contrast, in indirect
observation, the observer bases the information on prior knowledge.

2. What's Your Favourite Place on Earth?
3. Who Are the Special People in Your Life?
4. What’s the Most Embarrassing Thing You Can Remember That’s Happened to You?
5. What are some random fun facts about you?
B.
If I conduct research, I will employ the interview method. They help me explain, better
understand, and investigate research subjects' opinions, behavior, experiences, phenomena,
and so on. Interview questions are typically open-ended in order to elicit detailed information.

REFLECTION
I've discovered that there are various tools that can be used to collect data
under the three main basic groups of research methods. Interviews can be conducted
in person or over the phone. Paper or web-based surveys/questionnaires can be used.
Observations and experiments can be used to collect quantitative, qualitative, or a
combination of the two types of data. I'm glad that this module provided me with a
wealth of new knowledge that I can apply as a student to my future endeavours. I will
work harder and study more in order to gain a better understanding of research.
Knowing data collection and gathering methods helps me a lot because I can use them
in my research study, which is required for our performance output. I will not stop
reading and learning for the sake of a brighter future.

REFLECTION

1. The current COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all. The pandemic's impact and
consequences, however, are felt differently depending on our status as
individuals and members of society. As a student, the pandemic had a significant
impact on me, particularly on our learning system, which required a major
adjustment. This current public health crisis shows that we are all
interconnected and that our well-being is dependent on the well-being of others.
A renewed and healthy society is only possible if governments and public
authorities commit to reducing vulnerability and the impact of illness by
respecting, protecting, and fulfilling the right to health. It advocates for a
collective commitment to justice and equality for all.

2. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how interconnected our world and that no
one is safe until everyone is safe. Only by working together can communities save
lives and overcome the virus's devastating socioeconomic effects. I'm proud to say
that I'm one of the people all over the world who perform acts of humanity,
inspiring hope for a better future. I was unaware of my privilege during these
times until I began reading more articles about how millions of people are unable
to pay their rent, and landlords are beginning to issue violation notices. Rather
than feeling guilty, I chose to channel my privilege into a sense of purpose by
donating to non-profits that assist those affected by COVID-19.

REFLECTION
1. At this time of pandemic, we can collect data from people by conducting an online survey
in google forms where your target people could type their answer easily. In many
instances, however, we can continuing data collection efforts via telephone, web, email or
text. Our interviewers, systems, and protocols allow us to quickly switch to virtual
approaches without major disruptions to projects. We can also conduct a virtual
interview in other social media platforms. Moreover, we can collect data in people’s
documents online or if it is written then we can ask politely if they can took a picture of
it.

2. We need to familiarize the data to become immersed and intimately familiar with its
content. It will helps us identify important features of the data that might be relevant to
answering the research question. Before coding and searching for meanings and
patterns, it's critical to read through your complete data at least once.

QUARTER 4-MELC 8: CONCLUSIONS

ACTIVITY 1
Conclusion #1
I’ve concluded that the instructor plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the quality of online
education. Not only because the instructor is in direct contact with the students, but also
because additional has responsibility been placed on his or her shoulders. This does not,
however, imply that the administrator should be excluded from online education quality
assurance. More importantly, the administration should provide adequate resources (training,
administrative, financial, and promotional), hire qualified professors, and motivate them to
deliver excellent online instruction.

Conclusion #2
Participants had both positive and bad experiences when receiving online education, with the
latter being more positive. Reflection, flexibility, and convenience are reported as strengths of
online education, while the level and quality of communication between students and between
teachers are some contributing factors to participants' negative experiences. The lack of a
sense of community in students' online learning experience, as well as the interaction between
students and instructors, was a major problem. This research has added to the body of
knowledge in the field of online education. It has also supplied useful information from
students, which can be used by both online educators and administrators to improve online
education. It is important to begin to uncover students’ experiences with online learning
because doing so can help to show effective online practices, student perceptions of online
learning, and student satisfaction in the online environment.

Conclusion #3
I concluded that students enrol in online courses for a variety of reasons. Several things
influence their experience, some of which are at the control of students and others of which are
under the control of professors.
REFLECTION

1. I learned that Conclusion is the last paragraph of your research paper, or the concluding
element of any other sort of presentation, is the conclusion. In some ways, a conclusion
is similar to your introduction. For the reader, you restate your thesis and summarize
your important pieces of proof. It is important because it is a reiteration of the key point.
It reaffirms the reader's understanding of the strengths of the research’s major
argument/s and the most important evidence supporting those argument/s. The impact
of the argument/s that researcher have developed in their essay will be diminished as a
result of this.

2. I will continue to study this topic because this is essential in our research paper. I need
to learn how to write conclusions in order to summarize the major topics of my research.
It's my last chance to tie everything together that I’ve said so far, and to make my
viewpoint and grasp of the subject very evident to my examiners.

QUARTER 4-MELC 9: RECOMMENDATIONS

ACTIVITY 1
Recommendations #1
It is recommended that people in the medical field may also conduct partnership with
government and non-government agencies to teach health education to teen and pre-teen
students.
Recommendations #2
It is recommend that teachers should take into account working pupils as a symbol of support
and sympathy for their circumstances, parents should be aware of the difficulties that their
children face as a result of their status as a working student, working students must be both
physically and mentally strong in order to cope with the challenges they face and they should
learn how to manage their time. Moreover, future researchers should use this work as a
starting point for their own research.
Recommendations #3
I recommend that, parents and their children left behind must communicate. in order to
maintain a positive relationship. The presence of the parents must be felt by the child through
any methods of communication, regardless of distance. Parents must be willing to listen to
their children and make time for them, even if they are physically absent from their children's
lives for a length of time, to ensure that they are making their presence known even if they are
physically missing from their children's lives for a period of time.
Recommendations #4
I recommend that students must strike a balance between job and family obligations, to
organize one's time, and develop a personal commitment. In the absence of physical presence,
instructors should try to develop presence, build intellectual ties with students, and foster a
feeling of community. Faculty and student experiences are influenced by a combination of
student and instructor elements.
Recommendations #5
Since this study is limited to a specific content and sampled mothers of school children, it is
recommended that single parents who are juggling a lot of duties at home and at work must
prioritize their children's welfare because it is their responsibility to positively affect them.
Moreover, it is also recommended that future research on single parents with children in
different parts of the country may be performed to supplement research data and single
parents' perspectives. Since this study was conducted in a rural context, future research on
single parents with college-aged children versus single parents in metropolitan settings may be
conducted to compare the large variance.

REFLECTION
I have learned that recommendations are based on your study findings and indicate
particular actions or courses that can be taken. They are intended to encourage others to take
action or find answers to the issues raised in your research paper. Based on the findings of our
investigation, our recommendations identify specific solutions and steps that should be
adopted.
I will continue to study this topic because just like the conclusions, they are also
important and it is part of the research paper. The most significant portion of the analysis
phase is the recommendations phase, where I'll propose particular treatments or methods to
solve the difficulties and constraints discovered in the assessment. Recommendations should
be made in direct response to major findings gleaned from data collection and analysis.

REFLECTION
I have learned that research references is a list of all the sources you've used in your
project. References makes it easy for readers to find what you've cited. It is found in the
research paper's last section. I also learned that in APA they call this section References. In
MLA, they call it Work Cited and in Chicago style they call it Bibliography. I never knew that up
until now. I also acquired knowledge on how to list references in APA style for journal article,
news/magazine article, and book, book chapter with editor, web page, and online report.

I will continue to study this topic because we are going to conduct research soon and it
is important for us, student researchers, to cite our sources properly in order to avoid
plagiarism. It will be easier for my reader to be able to locate my sources. It also acknowledges
the writers whose ideas I have consulted. In that way, I would be able to provide evidence to
support the assertions and claims in your own assignments.
