Face-to-Face (Dyadic) Communication
Interpersonal Communication manifests face-to-face interaction
between people who are aware of each other.
Interpersonal Communication is a complicated process through
which two or more people who are sometimes called the “sender”
and the “receiver” constantly send and receive messages.
It involves listening and seeing , interpreting the message.
Non-verbal Communication
Non-verbal Communication is an important part of interpersonal
communication that includes gesture, body language, facial
expression, posture and distance and other actions which go along
with the spoken communication.
Interpretation of non-verbal communication though essential is
oftentimes difficult.
Without it, the communication seems flat and quite monotonous.
Passing Message
Passing of messages through more than one person is
common but risky way of communicating.
If the message is written, then the chance being chanced
is slight, although it might get lost or arrive late. However,
when oral messages are passed from person to person, the
message might be changed.
Letter Writing
Letter writing is a good way for two people to communicate.
Information is seldom subject to misunderstanding.
Letters, memoranda, or short notes form a small but important
part of
Communication between and among people.
Literacy is a must for this type of communication and should be
supported and promoted everywhere.
