1. The document provides instructions for a term end examination in applied linear algebra. It includes 5 questions worth a total of 50 marks. Question 1 involves either computing the inverse of a matrix using Gauss-Jordan elimination or decrypting a message using a key matrix. Question 2 involves determining whether a set with defined addition and scalar multiplication is a vector space. Question 3 involves finding the matrix associated with a linear transformation between two bases and verifying the transformation. Question 4 defines an inner product on the polynomial vector space P3 and asks to construct an orthonormal basis and find the length of vectors. Question 5 asks to transform a given equation into standard position and find the angle of rotation between the original and transformed coordinate systems.
