Are some types of knowledge less open to interpretation

than others?

The object that I’ve chosen is my Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (HL) textbook which is
used by IB students. It was first published on March 2019 it comprises of various important topics
which students should be aware of.
The textbook gives us a crucial idea about different areas of mathematics like sequences, complex
numbers, logarithms, calculus and many more. It also shows how to deal with various types of
problems by giving examples/ solved questions on it. The language used in book is simple and
straight forward to avoid any confusion by readers. All data in the book is factual and is supported by
years of research and experiments.
Its purpose is to share mathematical knowledge and since the information is based on facts it cannot
be interpreted by the reader in another way. The language is not complicated thus making easier for
the readers to understand without much interpretation.
