Adhesion Cross-Cut Test Example

This adhesion pull-off test report details results from testing performed on a baseplate from the Karish project. The baseplate had been coated with a three-coat painting system consisting of Hempadur AvantGuard 750 and Hempadur 47300 applied over a Sa 2.5 surface preparation of carbon steel. Testing was conducted using a cross hatch cutter and tape to ISO 2409:2013 and ASTM standards, with a 20mm dolly and 25mm cutting tool. The test result for specimen 1 was a value of 415 kPa according to ISO and a rating of 4B according to ASTM, indicating good adhesion between the coating and substrate.
