Progress Review Meeting.
(ii) All Ph.D scholars are required to start their research work from 1 st Semester itself by Review of Literature, finalization of Synopsis, Research Topic etc.

(b) The scholar is expected to have full attendance (i.e. 100%) in each course. However, a minimum of 75% attendance shall be mandatory for
becoming eligible to appear in the End Semester Examinations.
(c) A candidate will be required to qualify in all Course Units including Area Specific Courses in 1 st semester itself.
(d) The Passing Criteria in a Course shall be 60% i.e. Grade B+. Absolute Grading will be used for Ph.D. Programmes.
(e) Further, if a scholar fails to get qualifying Grade B+ i.e. 60% Marks in any Course Unit, he/she will be Retained in the same semester and will also be
given second opportunity to improve his/her minimum qualifying Grade to B+ i.e. 60% Marks, failing which his/her provisional registration shall be terminated.
