The researcher will use one type of data gathering instrument which is the online

questionnaire. The online questionnaire will be used to collect the respondents’ views,
opinions, perceptions and factual information. This is the most suitable form of data
gathering instrument used today to gather needed data from respondents. It will be
using a Likert Scale format by Likert because it is a close-ended, forced-choice scale
used in a questionnaire to measure people’s attitudes, opinions, or perceptions that
provides a series of answers that go from how much the respondents agree or disagree
with a particular statement. (McLeod, 2019). The questionnaire will consist mainly of
three parts. The first part will include the collection of the demographic data of the
respondents; the second part will be composed of questions about the respondent’s
academic profile and the third part will consist of questions about the views, opinions,
perceptions and factual information of the respondent’s about local Filipino preference
to travel outside the country than visiting local tourist attraction.

The researchers will be browsing information from unpublished and published

literature, studies, journal articles and the internet that are related to the research study

to be able to produce appropriate questions for the questionnaire. The questionnaire will

be created based on the research study’s statement of the problem. The researchers

will formulate closed and open ended questions for the questionnaire so that the

perceptions, experiences, views and opinions of the respondent’s would be stated

properly.
