PRACTICAL 2(A)

1) Access the Autodesk website. Use web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc. Then Go to
the AutoCAD official website by using this link: https://www.autodesk.com.
2) Select Students and Educators from Drop down list of the Menu.
It will give you three options, i.e. free trials, students and educators, and worldwide sites. Here I am
selecting the students and educators option.
3) Then, you will see Get set up for career success with the Autodesk tab. From that tab, click on Start
now under Download free software option.
4) It will give a list of Autodesk products like 3DS Max, Maya, AutoCAD, etc. Under that, click on the
AutoCAD option from the list.
5) If you have already registered, then click on Sign in, and you will be forwarded to your Autodesk Login
information. Otherwise, click on Create Account and create a new account using your email ID.
6) Select version. After signing in, you can select the version of AutoCAD you want to download and
install and Operating System: 32 bit or 64 bit.
7) License and Services Agreement. After that, you will see the “License and Services Agreement” Prompt.
Read it carefully, and then click on the “I Accept” option, then click the next button to install AutoCAD
on your Windows System.
8) After the installation of the manager, you will see an “Autodesk Download Manager” window. Specify
the desired path where you want to save that file and click on OK.
9) After that, you will see a window where you can configure the Autocad installation process. Here give
the path where you want to save the files.
10) In the next window, select the Custom Option. Make sure all the features under the drop-down are
checked.
11) Then, you will be prompted to the next window. Then click on the Install option.
12) After installing all the products and tools related to AutoCAD, Click on Finish.
13) After finishing the installation, you have to provide a Product Key to further the use of AutoCAD.
14) Click on the “All Products and Services” option. This will show the products you have downloaded.
15) Under AutoCAD option, Click on the “More actions” drop-down -> click “Serial numbers”.

PRACTICAL 2(B)

1) Autodesk Desktop app:


The new Autodesk desktop app is added in the latest release of AutoCAD where you can manage
software updates, watch latest videos and articles for learning software skills, access forums and
Autodesk knowledge network. You can also use Autodesk desktop app for sending feedback to
Autodesk and accessing online AutoCAD help.
2) PDF to DWG:
This is probably the most awaited feature in AutoCAD, starting with AutoCAD 2017 you can import
drawings from PDF format to AutoCAD as geometry and text objects.
3) Sharing drawings:
You can now directly share files with users who don’t even have AutoCAD using A360 cloud account
and all they need is a web browser for accessing shared drawing.
4) Making centerline and center marks:
With new AutoCAD 2017, you can easily add center lines and center marks to the geometry. Simply
type the command CENTERMARK and click on the circular object to create the center mark. You can
use this command to make a center mark on circle, arc and fillet.
5) Making 3D print ready file:
With new Autodesk print studio, you can make a 3D print ready file and directly print it in almost all
types of 3D printers. This 3D printing tool is provided by spark technologies and it is available for 64 bit
machines only.
6) Migrate custom settings:
The new custom settings migration setting window is more visually appealing and has easy to
understand interface.
7) Enhanced graphics:
With new AutoCAD, you will see an enhanced graphics in 2D and 3D with improved performance and
smooth visible features.

Steps to Draw Circle Using Menu:

1. Go to menu bar click on drawing tools icon then press enter


2. Select and click on desired shape which is “circle” then press enter
3. Specify the center point of the circle then press enter
4. Specify the 4 point axis of the circumference then press enter
5. finished

Steps to Draw Circle Using Command Window Option:

1. Go to command window option then press enter


2. Type the name of the you wish to use which is “circle” then press enter
3. Type and specify the center point of the circle e.g. (P10) then press enter
4. Type and Specify the 4 point axis of the circumference e.g. (P1 : P2 & P3 : P4) then press enter
5. finished
