graduation of a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics student

for the work immersion program of the K-12 curriculum.

The trainee would like to give thanks to almighty God for the

guidance and unending love, and for all the blessings he give everyday, and

also he would like to acknowledge the people behind this milestone.

To his parents for thei love and support, for providing all his needs

financially and morally, for their unfailing guidance that lead him to the

person he became today.

To the institution where the trainee is studying, Misamis Oriental

Institute of Science and Technology where he grew as a student from G-1 to

G-12 and all the knowledge he learned.

To Mr. Rocky C. Valmores, class adviser of G-12 Polite for giving his

time and showed full support during the 10 day work immersion.

To the staff of LGU Balingasag for showing their full support and

manage fhe trainee by carrying them in their respective workplace.

accepting and giving opportunities to these trainee specially to Albert

Valmores (Market Supervisor) who helped the trainee gain knowledge during

the work immersion.

Work immersion is a key features in senior high school curriculum

was, it can be coordinated in different ways depending on the purpose and

the needs of learners, it helps develop life and career skill preparing them to

make decisions making them a senior high school graduates. It is a part of

Senior highschool k-12 curriculum program catering 80 hours or 2 weeks in

equivalent of working hours. It allows the students skills and capabilities to

be fully develop and enhance for the better future. Through this the trainee

can be prepared and equipped to be a great worker someday. The

completion of work immersion is a prosequisite to graduation under the K-

12 curriculum program which gears the Filipino students for further

studies, employment, or entrepreneurship.

Work immersion will help the learners to develop life and skills, and

prepare them to make decisions on education or employment, the students

were able to gain relevant and practical industrial skills under the industry

experts and worker, it also enhance their knowledge and skills, Improves

rheir skills in communication and relation to others. These prepare them to

meet the needs and challenges of employment or higher education after

graduation.

Work immersion is important in developing oneself, this training

implemented to give student opportunity to acquire relevant knowledge and

to become well prepared in the future opportunities.

The main objective of work immersion is to help develop the learners

knowledge and skills to prepare them to a real life workplace environment.

The learners are able to apply the knowledge they learnt from school and

able to experience work environment. Through work immersion the students

elaborate positive attribute that perform a variety of task. Work immersion

practices the students ability and to gain knowledge, skills and ideas due to

their participation and give opportunities to the learners.

 Enhance communication skills and good relationship to others.

 Elaborate a positive attribute of a good employee.

 Develop good work habits.

 To prepare them for employment

 Improve their knowledge and skills to be more productive

 To build up work ethics.

The Municipal Economic Enterprise Management Office(MEEMO) is a

government office where the public market and slaughter house are under

its supervision. This office interacts with other branches of government and

studies various ways in which the people can get more income, especially

the poor and small business, and also it is the government assistant in

raising money to supplement the government expenses.

The purpose of this government office is to help by generating additional

income to finance the expenses of the people's government and aims to

discover a variety of sources of high paying livelihood and lastly, it has a

mission to encourage the government and the people to work together to

develop a sense of concern, discipline and love for projects that raise the

peoples income and raise the level of livelihood of every citizen.

First day of immersion the trainee was a little bit nervous but really

excited because of the new environment, after the trainee were assigned to

their designated workplace, the office head told them to relax just for

moment, only the first day and the second day that the trainee were

assigned to do a paperwork and the rest of the 8 days are just swiping the

floor, cleaning outside, cleaning the cr, mopping, and throwing garbage bin.

Most of the office hours the trainee were just sitting the whole time

while using his phone and surfing the internet but sometimes the staff

ordered the trainee to do some random things like cooking rice during lunch

time, buying snacks during snack time, and piling the files.

Indeed that work immersion proved that learning takes place when you

are doing it, he is thankful for this opportunity express gratitude enough for

the people who helped him during his immersion and made him to be the

person he is today.
