1.

Through D,the middle point of the side BC of a ABC a straight line is drawn to meet AC in
E and AB produced in F so that AE = AF. Prove that BF = CE .

2. ABC is an equilateral triangle . Points D,E,F are taken on the sides AB,BC, CA respectively so
that AD = BE = CF. Show that AE, BF ,CD enclose an equilateral triangle.

3. The sides AB,BC of a square ABCD are produced to P and Q respectively so that BP = CQ. Prove
that PD and AQ are equal and perpendicular.

4. If E is taken on the exterior bisector of A . Prove that AB + AC > EB + EC.

5. In a ABC , B is double of C . AD is drawn perpendicular to BC. Prove that AB = DC - BD.

6. Prove that the bisector AE of A of ABC is not greater than median AD from the same vertex.

7. Q,R are the mid-points of the sides AC,AB of isosceles ABC . The median AD is produced to E
so that DE = AD. EQ and ER are joined to cut BC in N and M respectively. Prove that AMEN is
a rhombus.

8. If any point P is taken inside the square ABCD such that PA= PC. Prove that B,P, D are collinear.

9. If two sides and enclosed median of a triangle are respectively equal to two sides and the enclosed
median of another triangle, then prove that the triangles are congruent.

10. ABC is a triangle in which B  2C . D is a point on BC such that AD bisects BAC and
AB = CD. Prove that BAC  720 .

11. If O is any point in the interior of ABC ,Then prove that

(i) AB + AC > OB + OC
(ii) AB + BC + CA > OA + OB + OC
(iii) 2(OA + OB + OC) > AB + BC + CA

12. PQRS is a quadrilateral in which diagonals PR and QS intersect at O, Then show that
(i) PQ + QR + RS + SP > PR +QS
(ii) PQ + QR + RS + SP < 2 (PR + QS)

13. Prove that the perimeter of a triangle is greater than the sum of its three
(a) medians (b) altitudes
