Sample Performance Task Proposal

I. Content Standard
ARTS: Demonstrates understanding of the use of lines, shapes, colors, texture, and the principles of
emphasis and contrast in drawing a logo and own cartoon character using new technologies in
drawing.
English: The learner demonstrate understanding on how to use grammar in different life purposes.
Science: Demonstrates understanding of how the major organs of the human body work together to
organ system.

II. Performance Standard


ARTS: Creates concepts through art processes, elements, and principles using new technologies
(hardware and software) to create personal/class logo or cartoon character on-the-spot using
new technologies.
English: The learner can be able to express themselves with correct grammar usage.
Science: Make a chart showing healthful habits that promote proper functioning of the muscular, skeletal,
integumentary, digestive, circulatory, excretory, respiratory and nervous systems.

III. Performance Task


G: The students will make their own Cartoon/Super Hero Character that they can possibly market.
R: You are a team of artist which composes of creator, graphic and toy designer, and an advertiser of
Cartoon/Super Hero Character who will compete for the annual “My Super Hero Character” contest.
A: Your work will be judge by well-known creators and designers of some classic super heroes.
S: The Marvel Company will be having a contest entitled “My Super Hero Character” to all super hero
character enthusiasts and your team will be joining the said contest.
P: Your team has to come up with a Cartoon/Super Hero Character as your contest piece. Your team
will also need to prepare a detailed description about its body parts structures and special powers/skills
which you will use in presenting your piece to the judges. (c/o English and Science)
S: Your work will be judged/graded according to the following criteria.

IV. Nature of the Project:


This will be a group project composed of four (4) to five (5) members. The Super Hero Character will be
done in the Arts subject while the composition of the description will be done in the English and Science
subjects.

- Short Folder
- Short Bond paper
