LEARNING ACTIVITY 1
HUMAN FLOURISHING
1. Form small groups among your classmates or member of the family (composed of 3-5 members) and
answer the following questions. Write down the summary of the different responses obtained from
group members.
a. What do you value most in life? How does this contribute to happiness and meaning in your life?
(5 points)
Answer: For me, it could be material things, spiritual connections and experiences,
relationships, basic needs, emotional and mental well-being, physical health, progress
towards hopes and dreams, or simply being alive.Research shows that traits like
passion, mental toughness, constant learning and a willingness to take risks do lead
to greater success. Hard work is usually rewarded. Perseverance is often the
difference between success and failure. After all, if you give up, failure is guaranteed.
The mix of passion, perseverance, and self-discipline that keeps you moving forward
in spite of obstacles can contribute to your success more than your IQ. My ability to
stick with and pursue any goal over a long period of time is an important indicator of
achieving anything worthwhile in my life and career.
