1 - Introduction

This document is a quotation regarding project development of digital mini card

application

The project can be composed in four different parts.

1) Requirement Gathering and Clarification

2) Developing (Coding)
3) Testing
4) Implementation on Web server—Hosting

1) Requirement Gathering and Clarification: In this phase client will present

overall vision and objective of the application development and explain the
requirement. After initial understanding it is always advisable to meet once and
make clarification required as per the development point of view.

2) Developing: After client’s approval, the actual coding will be started. Now, it
completely depends upon what kind of layout client approves. This project will be
used CodeIgniter framework as a development framework.
a. About CodeIgniter: CodeIgniter is a PHP-driven framework, containing
a grab-bag of libraries, helpers, plug-ins and other resources, that takes
care of many of the more complex procedures and functions for which PHP
is famous. CodeIgniter does all the heavy lifting for you while maintaining
high performance. It will simplify PHP syntax, streamline the code
underlying your web pages. CodeIgniter is super secure and, because it is
open source, easy to customize. Some of benefits are as below:
i. It makes coding in PHP simple, light weight, easy to maintain.
ii. It’s an excellent framework as far as the security is concern.
iii. It underpins the Model/View/Controller (MVC) approach to web
development—a best practice philosophy.
iv. It’s built on a linear, easy-to-use folder structure.
v. It’s open source and simple to configure and customize.
3) Testing: After the development is complete, it is very important to do the proper
testing of the all required functionalities. This phase will be performed at
developer side and client side. This is also called UAT (User acceptance testing).

 4) Hosting: After all the above phase, the final implementation will be done on the
web server. There are three possibilities:
a. Using existing web server
b. Using existing domain name and change the web space only
c. Completely new domain and web space
This is depends upon client and situation. Client can select any of the above ways.

2 – Current scope of work

Project Brief:

This is a website/application related to digital mini card generation system which will help business
owners / marketers as a marketing tool where they can promote, market and share information on
digital platform.

The website/application will have a system which will help customers to create their mini digital card
with concise information which can be share with their potential business customers to market their
products/services in efficient way.

1. Website/application will be created by building custom made back-end system for

administrator as well as registered users.

2. Registered user will select the plan. According to selected plan, registered user will have
features to generate his/her digital mini card (Small one pager website)

3. Role of administrator

1. Administrator will create category (If required) for digital mini card which will help
customer to select various mini card templates according to selected category

2. Administrator will upload different templates category wise which will be available for
registered customers at the time of creating a digital mini card

3. Administrator will manage registered user activation and de-activation process and their
profile

4. Plan management – Administrator can create various payment plans and change the
information about features, cost, plan title etc..

 4. Role of Customer

1. Customer will be registered with the application.

2. Customer will manage his/her profile as well as payment transactions history.

3. Select the plan and make the payment.

4. Customer will be given back-end system to create the digital mini card.

5. Customer will be provided templates (If this functionality is required).

6. Customer will fill up the information in our application wizard.

7. Preview the digital mini card and publish.

8. After publish, a folder will be created for that particular customer where his/her source
files will be saved. The URL will be generated which will be
http://[Main URL]/customer_username.

9. Customer may create multiple digital mini card (Please check the feasibility and advice) .

2 – Other scope of work

1. Payment gateway integration

2. Invoice generation
3. Reports, analytics , various filters to back-end administrator

3– Assumptions

1. All masters data will be provided to STAR ONE WEB by client’s team in timely manner

2. Forms field definitions, validations information & field dependencies information will be
provided to STAR ONE WEB by client’s team in timely manner

3. All excel formats, PDF formats and invoice formats will be provided by client’s team

4. Any other vital information which will be necessary for development must be provided by
client’s team to STAR ONE WEB (E.g Notes, instructions etc..)

5. Notification email text, SMS text content for sending email generated by system should be
provided by client’s team

 6. All telephonic conversations related to change request (Small to big) must be in form of
written email.

4– Out of scope

1. Any server related configurations

2. Any other internet related issues at client premises

3. Any other software or browser limitations at client end.

4. Any third party testing arrangement

5. Payment gateway registration for online payment process and any other related formalities
