SugarCRM vs SuiteCRM: A Brief Look at the
Features

Both, SugaCRM and SuiteCRM, are compelling solutions that attract the
companies of all sizes.

SugarCRM is positioned as the one of top CRM systems. The platform


offers you a wide range of features starting from the project and activity
management to integration with 104 apps. The solution automates your core
sales, marketing, and customer support processes. Needless to say, that
SugarCRM is a commercial software, so be ready for finance investments.

SuiteCRM  has forked from SugarCRM and designed by the development


agency SalesAgility.  The platform is based on Sugar’s Community Edition, with a
number of modules added. SuiteCRM includes the sales, marketing, and support
automation options and offers the simple collaborations among the different
departments.  One of the great add-ons is “Advanced OpenWorkflow” that allows
to perform the various tasks (from automating security management to setting up
contract reminders). SuiteCRM natively includes version 6.5.x of the Community
Edition of SugarCRM and modules released and paid for under the commercial
license for the Professional Edition (80% of the functionalities of these modules
are available under the Community Edition).

So, what do one of the world's largest healthcare organisations, the world's
largest tyre company, one of the world's largest energy companies and one of the
world's largest distributors of specialist industrial services have in common?

They have all recently selected SuiteCRM for strategic projects.

that it possesses the features Sugar does (its Professional Edition, actually). Its developers also
added some novelties, like integration with Google Maps and Security, Reports, Marketing
modules etc. So, turns out you get more for free than you do for money.

How do They Look?


SugarCRM has been frequently accused of using an obsolete-looking interface and
the design lacking sophistication and customization opportunities being not very
easy to find and use.

SuiteCRM has corrected this pitfall and added a custom theme, so users can select
their own colors, fonts, logos etc. — and those things are a breeze to do.

So, hopefully you already know which of the two abovementioned CRMs would be
the best fit for your business. But if that’s not yet the case – there’s a great
opportunity to download both of them for free and play around with them to
compare SugarCRM to SuiteCRM and see with your own eyes what they’re worth.

Bottom Line
