ABSTRACT
Curfew implementation at the grassroots level and the success of its
implementation is seen to be the crucial role of the police, the barangay
officials and the community. The main purpose of the study is to assess the
implementation of curfew hours on minors in Barangay Patay, Sagada,
Mountain Province. Specifically determine the: (1) level of implementation of
curfew hours on minors; (2) degree of seriousness of problems affecting the
implementation of curfew hours on minors; and (3) level of effectiveness of the
strategies in implementing curfew hours on minors. The results show that
curfew hours on minors are moderately implemented. It was observed that the
degree of seriousness affecting the implementation of curfew on minors in
barangay Patay, Sagada is moderately serious. It can be perceived that
strategies are moderately effective. It is perceived that conducting patrol and
inspection in the community during and after curfew hours is an effective way
to ensure implementation.. The implementation of the curfew on minors in
Barangay Patay, Sagada is moderately effective which connotes that law
enforcers’ strategies are still somehow challenged.
