The vessel MT Elise conducted a deck cargo fire drill from 1300-1330 LT on December 8, 2018. [1] The master and chief engineer participated along with other crew members. [2] All crew members reported to their emergency stations within 1 minute and 40 seconds of the alarm. [3] The drill was rated as satisfactory with no noted required improvements.

Brief Details of Drill or Exercise


SIMULATION
1300 Hrs: The crew on watch report to the bridge that fire in cargo hold, Duty officer inform
the master. Master raises the signal for fire alarm. Master report this incident to the port control
and also to company.

1303 Hrs All crew standing by at emergency muster station. Chief engineer and other engine
crew prepare the main fire pump. Chief officer instructs the crew to prepare the fire equipment
nearby effected accommodation.

1310 Hrs . Able seaman1 wearied the fireman outfit and emergency breathing apparatus to
fight the fire.
1316 Hrs: Chief officer instructs one party to keep bounder cooling of cargo hold from
outside by water spray. All the entries and vents closed to stop the entry of oxygen in the cargo
hold . Wall cooling continue. Chief officer instruct second engineer and assisted by crew to
prepare the medicine or others whether any victim due to the incidents.
1320 Hrs: The fire extinguished by fire fighter. Finally checked there was no fire
It was wrong Information.
1330 Hrs: The drill is completed.

16.55 Hrs: The fire extinguished by fire fighter.


17.0 0 Hrs: The drill is completed.
Improvements required (Attach correspondence, check-lists, purchase requisitions, etc if applicable)

All crew are familiar regarding the above drill, means if any fire on board all crew strait to
stand by and prepare the fire equipment then direct to fight the fire immediately. Demonstrate
by crew how to check and use the fire equipment such as: fire extinguisher, BA, fireman outfit,
etc.

OVER ALL DRILL RESULT SATISFACTORY.
