1. Do you agree that Whirlpool can realize a competitive advantage through its
diverse employees?

 Yes, Whirlpool has a competitive advantage in the market because of


empowering diversity to their employees. For proof, Whirlpool corporation is
one of the world’s largest manufacturer of home appliances and this
corporation believes on their slogan “Thing more diverse that our products
are the people create them”. This shows that the corporation cherishes their
employees more than products that they build and created. Moreover, the
home appliances that they have created was all came from hard work,
dedication, and valuing of their employees. Therefore, this touches the hearts
of the customers to buy their products because there is a sense of home and
love using their products.

2. How else can technology be used to enhance Whirlpool's culture of inclusion?

 Technology can be used to enhance Whirlpool’s culture of inclusion but also,


it can use for innovating their products. Making their home appliances to have
more child-friendly style and options that also ensures that they still provide
an effective and efficient work that meet customer satisfaction. Also,
improving their products to be used in the long run to have the customer’s
money’s worth. Another Whirlpool is located outside North American and
60% of their employees are based in Michigan. That’s why, the products that
they sell are all translated in English, to be able to enhance its diversity and
culture of inclusion, their guide, manuals, and controls should have a
universal medium so, it can be sold globally. After all, they believe in their
vision “every home, everywhere”.
3. Do you feel that Whirlpool's efforts to create a culture of inclusion are
worthwhile? Explain your answer.

 Yes, based on the case study it has been proven that Whirlpool’s effort to
create a culture of inclusion is effective because Whirlpool focused on
empowering their employee’s culture and diversity. This brings people with
different races and backgrounds helps in creating lives better because the
uniqueness of different people was empowered and cherished it triggers that
this corporation is not racist and do not discriminate. This also helps in
creating new ideas in forming new and improved appliances in meeting high
customer satisfaction. Moreover, being known as empowering diversity is an
advantage in having strong organizational structure and culture which keeps
the organization in a swift flow process in attaining its success.
