The other commonly used prepositions are between, on, in, over, above,
and under.

We use between when referring to two persons or objects.

Example:
I love the chocolate oozing between the two layers of cakes.
Learn how to keep that secret just between you and your friend.

We use among when referring to more than two persons or objects.

Example:
Among the teachers in Grade VI, Mrs. Del Fonso is my favorite.
She mingled among the elders during their visit at the Home for the Aged.

We use on to refer to streets, avenues, etc.

Example:
She lives on Acacia Street.
Our school is located on Jose Abad Santos Avenue.

We use in to refer to land areas.

Example:
Martena lives in Barangay 254.
Romeo is in Pasig City.
Tagaytay is in the province of Cavite.

We use above to refer to a higher level or higher in vertical line.

Example:
There were birds above the trees.

We use under to refer to a lower level. Something is above it.

Example:
How long can you stay under water?

H. Evaluating Learning

I. Additional activities for application or remediation

Look at these pictures. The class will be grouped into 4. Using the prepositional
phrases that we’ve learned work together to create a simple story about the
picture assigned to your group. Observe proper punctuation and use of transition
words learned in previous lessons. The other group will critique your work.
Revise your work if necessary.
