The FCM Suite system is designed to scan messages made across international borders. The
system is verifying if the payer, payee, and the payment narrative are subject to one or more
of the following criteria:
- Watch lists of individuals or entities to which sanctions apply;
- Payments made to and in countries listed on the Financial Action Task Force on
Money Laundering’s Non-Compliant Countries or Territories list;
- Payments made to individuals or entities listed on the Office of Foreign Assets (OFAC)
register;
- Any locally applied lists of individuals or entities.
Note: The client must have a valid license. Additional lists can be configured depending on
the customer requirements.
This user guide aims to explain how to use the Web Inquiry Tool to check names using the
Scan IT tool.
The scope is to provide a module that executes the same screening research for a name as
the one done by the screening engine, when you screen an FT, Customer creation...
If you have a list of new customers, you can do a quick check with the WIT to validate if the
people are not black listed.
The tool use the scanning engine as it is configured for the online screening.

The above figure shows the relationship between the Web Inquiry Tool and the standard
installation.
The Web Inquiry Tool is a web-based application that allows ad-hoc checking of new or
existing customers. The user enters Name, Date of Birth (or company incorporation) and
identity details. The result displays any hits that are found against that name, and the details
of the hit can then be viewed.

Filtering Options
This section describes how to perform screening research by entries that have several birth
dates. By entering the birth data, the Customer Name is optional.
Note: The Date of Birth/Date of Incorporation is unique.
If one of the birth dates falls inside the tolerance range, the hit is raised.
E.g.: Raul Aguiar entry, with 1965-05-24 as birth date.
- Name and a birth date with a year value not in the interval [year of birth - tolerance; year of
birth + tolerance]. The hit is discarded because of the check on the birth date:

- Name and a birth date within the tolerance interval. The hit is validated:
Note: For the tolerance interval, take only the year of the birth date. If the birth date is
1965-05-07, all date from 1964-01-01 to 1966-12-31 belong to the tolerance interval
for a valid hit.
Inquiry List
This section displays the list of hits founded by the Scanning engine. If there is a hit against
the name, then the View and Remove buttons appears in Actions.
To view a hit, in Inquiry list go to a customer name and click View. The Web Inquiry Alert
Details page is displayed:
