THESIS REPORT
July – December 2019

INTRODUCTION

An architectural thesis report is a compilation of analyzed data that forms a prelude to the design
of a project.
It is a collection of the pre-design research that leads to conclusions which form the basis for the
design to be conceived.

STRUCTURE

The structure of an architectural thesis report will be made of


– an introduction,
– a body made up of chapters that give arguments and analysis for the conclusions
to be drawn,
– the conclusions on which the design will be based
– The mandatory prologue and epilogue elements that shall make the report self-
sufficient and self-explanatory.

TYPING

 The final report will be typed in Times New Roman Font 12 in 1.5 line spacing, both side
justification.
 Titles should be in font 14 and subtitles in underlined font 12.
 The page formatting will be with 2.54 cm margins on all sides on A4 size paper in
portrait orientation.
 The drawings/sketches/plans/etc must be modulated to fit an A4 size white bond paper
page, one side printing.
 Details of parts of large graphics can be on following pages
 All graphics must be appropriately annotated and should be as close to the relevant text
as possible.
BINDING

• In black Rexene
• Along the longer side (Portrait mode)
• Blank pages at the end to add printouts and pictures of final design
• Silver lettering on cover
