The narrator claims that the owner of the company is

influential because of his wealth.


Those statements are proof that the company doesn’t
fair and does not treat its employees well. They
should treat their employees like assets, not
liabilities.
The narrator has a hard time finding a job because he
did not complete his degree. He experienced as a
casual construction worker before in various places.
Still, unfortunately, there are times that he have no
work. That’s why he accepts the invitation to work
in a shipyard as a welder in Konjata Ship-Building
Company.
The workers met accidents in the workplace due to
the lack of property safety equipment
Some of the workers experienced being physically
and sexually harmed by Mr. K and the other
foreigners in the shipyard.

Yes, the workers might win against the company.


Because mostly in the Labor Codes states what are
the rights of the workers are violated labor laws.
Which states in the following:
 Number 1 is the right of everyone to the opportunity to gain his living by
work which he freely chooses or accepts;
 the right to the enjoyment of just and favorable conditions of work, in particular,
remuneration which provides all workers, as a minimum, with fair wages and
equal income for work of equal value, and a decent living for themselves and
their families;
 Safe and healthy working conditions;
 Equal opportunity for everyone to be promoted in his employment to an
appropriate higher level, subject to no considerations other than those of
seniority and competence;
 and rest, leisure and reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays
with pay, as well as remuneration for public holidays;
