· Expiry Date
· Action
The important column will be ‘Action’. This is where you will find the following entries:
Action Definition
Renew If the cell expiry date is <30 days from the time of report execution
To be ordered If, when running the route filtered report, a cell is identified within the
chart selectin corridor (5nm) but the cell is not currently installed
The “advisory” nature of this column should be clear to the user as
there may be very small scale charts which intersect a particular route,
not all of which the mariner may consider to be necessary.
No action If the cell expiry date is >30 days from the time of report execution
To be removed If the cell is marked as cancelled or does not appear in the latest
catalogue, then it should be removed so that out of date information is
not maintained within SCNE
To be installed If a cell is identified within the chart selection corridor and the license
is installed, but not the chart itself

Check the Coverage
The coverage area must be checked to ensure a full coverage with ENCs along the route.
ENCs are defined in cells and assigned to specific countries that need to create the charts.
However, some cells are not completely filled because they reach further territorial waters or
charts with other scales are covering the area. In this case additional ENCs must be ordered
to cover these gaps.
1. Press the show settings button on the right side of the screen. Switch to the Chart
Catalogue tab and tick the Show coverage area checkbox.
The coverage area within the chart borders will be highlighted in red. For those areas without
coverage you can select charts manually e.g. by point on map.
