1. Passenger Brief

Start-up clearance is required from Jandakot Ground, 124.3, for circuits. This is a separate call to your request for
taxi clearance. Whether departing or arriving, remember that taxi clearance is always required to enter taxiway
Bravo.

Note: If your taxi instruction includes the term ‘holding point [runway]’ or ‘hold short of [runway]’, you are required to
read back the instruction as stated in your taxi clearance.
6. Taxi Brief
The Taxi Brief is given after receiving the Taxi Clearance. It must be conducted with a picture of the Jandakot
runway diagram from the Jeppesen.
Our expected taxi route is down the Northern apron towards the Central apron. We will take the first major right
hand taxiway to the Bravo 5 run-up bay. We will then taxi along Bravo 4, Bravo 3, Bravo 2, turn left into Sierra 1 and
hold short of runway 06L.
TAXI FROM PARKING AREA TO RUN-UP BAY

Park in the run-up bay with prop wash pointing into the tire wall
Avoid pointing prop wash into other aircraft or over taxiways

Check the taxiway signs and identify the taxiway and holding point as you approach and enter.
Stop before the Yellow lines and cock aircraft into the approach so you can see any aircraft on final.
7. Contact Tower for take-off clearance – Swap to Tower frequency 118.1 MHz

Runway 06L/24R active when runway 12/30 in use. Turbojets and turbprops may be using Runway 06L/24R.
Must request clearance to cross any runway
NOTE: DO NOT CLIMB BEYOND 2,500 FT UNTIL PASS SOUTH OF WATER SKI PARK

When overhead Six South you must establish 2 way communications with ATC

Follow tower instruction on when to descend & rejoin circuit pattern at circuit altitude – 1,000 ft – for landing.
On downwind, complete BEFORE LANDING Check
AFTER LANDING
The aircraft is not clear of the runway until the entire aircraft is past the holding point.
Stop when there enough room for at least on other aircraft behind you.

5. If you required to cross a runway on the realm, your taxi call should be:

When taxiing up to the Northern Apron, remember that it is good airmanship to not further delay a departing
SFC aircraft.
Never taxi the C172 into a parking bay.
