Artapp Learning Exercise 8

Learning Exercise 8.1 provides an ordered list from A to J, while Learning Exercise 8.2 discusses how images can tell stories and communicate without words, especially for non-literate individuals, and how images in religious rituals could be seen as idolizing. The second part discusses the Renaissance period in Europe between the 15th-17th centuries as a transition from the Middle Ages to modernity, though some see its influences extending from the 14th century and into the 17th century, with disagreement on whether it marked a break from the past or an extension of the Middle Ages. The example categorizes topics as political, economic, social, or technological.

LEARNING EXERCISE 8.2

1. Image or any form of Art is a way we can express ourselves. You can tell a story
without words by using images. Images are also a way you can communicate for
someone who is non-literate this is very important. Images you can tell a story
without words. In my opinion the use of images in religious rituals would be seen
as idolizing.

2. The Renaissance is a term used to describe a period in European history that marks the
transition from the Middle Ages to modernity and spans the 15th and 16th centuries. It
occurred after the late medieval crisis and was associated with great social change. In
addition to standard prioritization, supporters of a long Renaissance can place its beginning
in the 14th century and its end in the 17th century. The traditional view focuses more on
early modern aspects of the Renaissance and argues that it was a break with the past, but
many historians today focus more on its medieval aspects and argue that it was an extension
of the Middle Ages.
